In Parliament, I expressed concern that if infrastructure and agricultural output rise while the health of our natural resources deteriorates, it can scarcely be called progress. Food security, public health and environmental sustainability are deeply intertwined — they will either advance together or decline together. Our development must therefore safeguard the delicate balance of nature, for the sake of both present citizens and generations yet to come.

ਅੱਜ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ Infosys Ltd ਦੇ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਦੀ ਗਰਾਊਂਡ ਬ੍ਰੇਕਿੰਗ ਸੈਰਮਨੀ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕਰੀਬ ₹286 ਕਰੋੜ ਦੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਲਗਭਗ 2700 ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਟੈਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਨੋਵੇਸ਼ਨ ਹੱਬ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਏਗਾ। ਸਾਡੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਫ਼ ਮਕਸਦ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਪਵੇ, ਸਗੋਂ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਦਯੋਗਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖਾਲ਼ਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪਸੰਦ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਟੈਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ, ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।

Raised in Parliament the critical issue of affordable education for all. Exorbitant fees charged by many private schools are making quality education increasingly unaffordable for middle-class families, placing a back-breaking burden on them. Quality education must never become a privilege for a few — it is the right of every child. Education is the most powerful means of social upliftment, and there should not be inequitable access to it

As informed in Parliament, Punjab is losing nearly 70 lives to cancer every single day! A deeply alarming reality. In 2025 alone 43,196 cancer cases and nearly 25,000 people lost their lives. While I appreciate the steps by the Government — with two cancer institutes at Sangrur and New Chandigarh providing around 450 beds — the scale of the crisis demands far greater expansion of oncology services and treatment facilities. But treatment alone is not enough. We must urgently address the root causes — contaminated water, environmental pollution and excessive agro-chemicals.
