Finnish Study Links Transgender Procedures to Decline in Youth Mental Health washingtonstand.com/article/finnis… ...adolescents referred to specialist transgender services “showed significantly higher psychiatric morbidity than controls,” with 45.7% having mental health issues before referral, compared to 15.0% among the control population. When next measured, two years or more after referral, 61.7% of the gender dysphoric population had mental health issues, compared to only 14.6% of the control population. Second, as these data show, the proportion of adolescents with mental health issues also increased in absolute terms (by 35%) after referral to specialist transgender services. . . ..among males who did receive medical gender reassignment treatments, the number with psychiatric morbidity increased from 16 to 99 (a 518% increase). Among females who received medical gender reassignment treatments, the number with psychiatric morbidity increased from 137 before to 345 after, a 151% increase. (The numerical male-female difference in both groups is due in part to the fact that approximately 80% of the gender dysphoric population was female — that is, “seeking change … towards male” — and to the fact that females had a higher baseline rate of mental health issues.)

“The harsh reality is that the New York Times has made a terrible mistake, by using their power to sell gender ideology to liberals as simply another natural variation in humankind. The result is that a generation of young people have been maimed.” @pittparents @nytimes open.substack.com/pub/pitt/p/the…

Rider University really has its priorities straight. The campus stays busy with events and messaging about “community,” while serious incidents quietly pile up. Since January 2026, there have already been three reports of sexual misconduct—one per month. For a school that claims to prioritize student safety, that’s a remarkable pattern this early in the year. But don’t worry—Dean of Students Christine Mehlhorn assures everyone that “supportive measures” have been offered. Because clearly, statements are working so well at preventing the next report. This is the same administration, under Christine Mehlhorn, where my daughter’s body was found on campus in October 2024 four days after she took her life. The same administration that approved her placement in a gender-inclusive dorm with her boyfriend. The same administration that was supposed to conduct regular welfare checks on vulnerable students like my daughter—but for some reason chose to prioritize “privacy” over safety. You would think that would have forced real accountability, real change, real urgency. Instead, it’s more of the same—incidents, statements, and silence where it matters most. And yes, Rider continues to emphasize its close relationship with Lawrence Police. The same police that declared my daughter’s case “clear.” The same police that failed to see her death note on the very day she was found. But by all means, keep the events going. Keep the messaging polished. Just don’t ask why the pattern keeps repeating. m.facebook.com/story.php?stor… @libsoftiktok @Linda_McMahon @EDSecMcMahon @HarmeetKDhillon @pittparents @ethical_care @realDonaldTrump @MELANIATRUMP @EpochTimes @realDailyWire @NJRep @RiderUniversity @prageru @DoNotHarm @genspect @stevegrubershow

So, The Rider News decided to run a May 8th article titled “Student’s October suicide causes discussion on campus welfare checks.” I’ll leave the link in the comments for anyone who wants to bask in the wisdom of their “investigation.” And who do they spotlight as one of the main voices on how to prevent tragedies like this? Drumroll… Adam Duggan. Yes—that Adam Duggan. The same Adam who dumped my daughter, left her alone, and “found” her four days later on the floor of room B306 in Kroner Hall. Oh, and let’s not forget—he was actually in her dorm on Friday, opened the door, reached in to grab something by the entrance, and left. No “Hey, are you okay?” No glance around the room. Nothing. For all we know, Ilene might have been alive then. But sure—let’s listen to him on suicide prevention. Adam’s résumé sounds impressive—full tuition scholarship, pep band member, black belt in Taekwondo, LGBTQ “ally,” and the Diversity Center’s go-to peer for student support. Uses they/them pronouns, of course. In the article, Adam says: “I knew of a few classes that [Raven] had missed… but I would say if the university had noticed you’re missing that many classes that early on, there should have been some sort of check-in.” Right—because it’s obviously the university’s job to notice a student is in crisis, not the person who was dating her and admits he saw her mental health decline for months. And when asked if they told university officials about their concerns? “Duggan said they did not share concerns about Syed with university officials.” Brilliant. You see the signs, you say nothing, and then later you give interviews on how the school should have acted. Critical thinking skills? Not exactly your strong suit, Adam. But yes, keep patting yourself on the back for being a “supportive ally.” Here’s what changed in those months you noticed her worsening, Adam: testosterone. Hormones that worsen depression—something I’ve been saying all along. But in true Rider fashion, the conclusion isn’t to question the hormones or the ideology—it’s to double down on enforcing pronoun policies. Because clearly, if everyone had just said “he,” my daughter would still be here. And then there’s Dean of Students Christine Mehlhorn—cheerleader for gender-inclusive bathrooms and housing—who oversees the Student Welfare Committee, the very group tasked with early intervention for at-risk students. If she was involved in Ilene’s housing placement because of “mental health concerns,” then she was also responsible for checking on her. She didn’t. But instead of being held accountable, she still has her job, still pushes the same ideology, and I’m sure still cashes a comfortable paycheck. The article says Mehlhorn and Director of Public Safety Matthew Babcock “could not state” whether anyone actually checked on Ilene—blaming “privacy laws.” But Babcock brags about how they “use every resource” to find at-risk students and see them in person. Apparently “every resource” excludes walking four days down the hall to check on a student they knew was vulnerable. Four days. That’s how long the people who were supposedly responsible—Adam, his peers at the Diversity Center, the dean, public safety—did nothing. Four days of failure, now followed by lectures in the student paper on “how to prevent this from happening again.” If this is what Rider calls “student welfare,” maybe they should just rename it the “We’ll Write About It After You Die” Committee.

..these successes won’t hide one brutal reality: we’ll still live in a world where thousands of young people have already been damaged. Those are our kids, trudging around like broken dolls, trying to make lives for themselves at age 20, 30, 40, and beyond—some alienated from loved ones, some haunting their families like a ghost. And don’t forget those who didn’t survive. Even with their likely shortened life expectancies, what will survivors do for the next year, decade, half-century? open.substack.com/pub/pitt/p/aft… @pittparents
