@hussgamer15 I think Finch is good if you haves clear an obvious skill set that you can come into the game for 5m at do that skill set But that’s not how all prospects come into the league and many of the higher upside ones are more balls of clay

Chris finch not being able to figure out how to use a player if their current skill set doesn’t tell him exactly how to use him is really just gonna make it hard to ever build a real core

Tim Connelly was a great GM for the Nuggets. He built a team that complimented Jokic’s skill set. With the Timberwolves, he’s focused almost exclusively on raising the team’s floor. And he’s been so committed to this, that we’re now virtually stuck (and our floor is still low).

@TakeshiKovacs37 @PDWolves This is crazy. Ant is great but the teams main problem is a lack of maturity and focus and that 100% comes directly from him. Hard to blame them for not valuing the regular season after making WCF two years in a row. I’m sure Ant thinks they just need to get in the playoffs.

This year’s team has seemed off a great deal more often than it has seemed like one that’s going places. Seeing more and more examples recently that suggest there’s some fraudulence in the win-loss record.

@James_Pratt_1 @idkball5 @TwolvesBlog To me that’s on the players more than the coach. Is he supposed to give some fiery speech before they go out and play the Pelicans? They are highly paid pros they shouldn’t coast. A new coach might fix that temporarily but it’s on the best players to set a tone with that.

They are going to have to think pretty hard about Finch this summer. Then again he’ll probably go and win a few playoff series this year, somehow. So there that.

@TwolvesBlog @idkball5 He’s got flaws. I just find it funny how fans online (not you necessarily) talk as if the losses are his fault but the wins are because the players are great. To me the idea that the coach needs to “motivate” the players to try hard is ridiculous, they are pros.

@PJB170 @idkball5 My initial post was more….”think about it.” I’m not a member of “Finch has got to go” island. I’ve been pleased there has been little no drama surrounding the group. I’ve been very frustrated with the lack of imagination overall though.

@TwolvesBlog Fair to say he’s a better playoff coach than regular season at this point. This failure to get the team to show any life against bad teams isn’t just something everyone has to accept

@TwolvesBlog Connelly single-handidly built the DEN championship team. Connelly got us Rudy which took our team from the KG era “lose every year in the first round” to instant WCF and then turned overpaid KAT into Randle AND Donte. Connelly isn’t the problem. Finch is.

Things I tell myself from time to time: 1. McHale knew about Roy’s knees 2. Rambis would have ruined Curry 3. Kahn drafts Giannis 3. Rosas built our young core, to which Tim has made zero contribution, but would have signed Simmons and DLo to long term maximum contracts
