For years, Western officials called Ali Larijani a “pragmatist” and a “diplomat.” In reality, he helped oversee one of the Islamic Republic’s most notorious propaganda operations — built on fear, coercion, and forced confessions. In 1996, state TV aired Hoveyat (“Identity”) — an Orwellian smear campaign targeting Iran’s leading writers, historians, and intellectuals. Week after week, they were branded traitors, Western agents, and enemies of the state. Larijani was head of state broadcasting at the time. This wasn’t incidental. He defended the program publicly — accusing its targets of taking money from foreign embassies and justifying the campaign against them. The show relied on forced confessions. Ezzatollah Sahabi. Gholamhossein Mirza Saleh. Even Ali-Akbar Saeedi Sirjani — who died in custody — was made to “confess” on air after his death. Behind Hoveyat was a coordinated system: state TV, intelligence services, and hardline media working together to crush dissent. This is Larijani’s record. Not a reformer. Not a centrist. A key operator in the machinery of repression.

Notice what those numbers mean for Schumer's specific claim. He said this bill only appeals to the MAGA fringe. 76% of Black Americans support photo ID to vote. Black Americans do not vote MAGA at 76%. That number destroys his entire argument before he finishes the sentence.
Schumer isn't confused about the polling. He knows these numbers. Every Democrat in that chamber knows these numbers. They aren't opposing this bill because it's unpopular — they're opposing it because it works. A bill that confirms only citizens vote removes the electoral infrastructure they spent years building. That's the whole game.
Chuck Schumer called 76% of Black Americans, 82% of Latino Americans, and 85% of white Americans the "fringe MAGA base."
Every Republican senator should be playing this clip on a loop between now and the midterms. And then they should nuke the filibuster and pass the bill.

I wonder how many "Catholics" are now going to attack their own bc their hatred for Jews is stronger than their love for their Church.
I am a Cradle Catholic. Although I am not with the Church anymore, I cannot ignore my upbringing in what shaped me to be who I am today.
This was a very beautiful message, and I think he worded it perfectly. He didn't even need to bring up Israel. He didn't need to say specific names of who was attacking Jews. The message was clear.

If they provide evidence that Tucker worked with terrorists and Joe Kent leaked classified info and they DON’T indict them, we are no better than the democrats and there will be no point to being part of either party anymore.
You don’t just get immunity from indictments because you vote red. Innocent till proven guilty? Of course. Innocent because of optics? Absolutely not.
