This FBI and @TheJusticeDept just received a guilty plea in a multi-state investigation involving the sexual exploitation of children. Last spring, our local partners in Toledo, Ohio arrested a subject Brett Tooman after he allegedly traveled to the area to sexually abuse a 7-year-old girl. That investigation ultimately led to multiple other individuals, including one subject, Lincoln Erickson, who was working as a medical resident at a Michigan hospital. Erickson had been linked to the same case receiving AI-generated child pornography and discussing traveling to sexually abuse children. This FBI arrested Mr. Erickson in December. Veterans were the first population that organizations like yours unfairly targeted to remove essential medications like opioids. You have no right, none, to dictate medical care for anyone, least of all our Veterans.

Further—MacFarlane unwittingly admits the rigged nature of J6 trials by noting DOJ had a perfect record before DC juries. Hmmm... this is actually a very serious matter. When every symptom is questioned more than believed, people don’t just describe pain, they translate it. Medicine forgets that repeated doubt reshapes how patients speak, behave, even feel. What looks like anxiety is often learned survival in a system that stopped listening before it even started hearing properly being understood.

IT NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME how quickly people recognize psychological trauma in almost every setting except healthcare. A soldier comes home hypervigilant, we understand. Someone leaves an abusive relationship and rehearses every word before speaking, we understand. Someone gets bitten by a dog and becomes fearful around dogs, we understand. But a chronic pain patient walks into an exam room with rehearsed explanations, symptom logs, medication histories, anxiety, and the instinct to downplay their suffering, and somehow we’re supposed to pretend that appeared out of nowhere. Many of us learned to scan faces before speaking. We learned to measure our words. Not too emotional. Not too calm. Not too detailed. Not too vague. We learned to shrink our pain into something socially acceptable. Because after enough interrogations, enough suspicion, enough humiliation, enough being treated like a problem to manage instead of a person to help, your nervous system adapts. And then people call it anxiety. No. Anxiety is what they see. Conditioning is what happened. Then society asks why chronic pain patients hesitate to seek care, like asking someone why they flinch when they’ve spent years being told, “this won’t hurt,” right before it did.
