Indons is driving me crazy with your stupidity. For the last time let me explain. In Malaysia, the 3 major ethnic groups are Malay, Chinese and Indians. All these groups have smaller subgroups within them but for grouping purpose they are Malay, Chinese and Indians.

Isu definisi Melayu ni jadi masalah sebab kedua2 negara lihat pakai kacamata masing2.
Malaysia adalah negara kosmopolitan yang ada kaum2 dari pelbagai ras, malah ada ras yang telah tiada seperti Ceylon, Armenia dll.

Malay is an endonym of one ethnic. It’s always problematic to use an endonym of a single ethnicity to lump it with the other different ethnic groups

It’s weird how people in Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei try to define Indonesian ethnicities for Indonesians & then gaslight us into thinking we’re wrong. We’re native to Indonesia, we decide it our own, not them. They’re trying to dictate to natives about their own cultures 😂

That’s exactly happenning with all Austronesians (including non-Malay like Javanese or Bugis) are lumped as “Malay”. Wrong!

@irvxan @komplekwortel @exSoloLA Hokkien belongs to the Min family of languages, Kanton belongs to the Yue family. They are not mutually intelligible, in the same way that Javanese and Malay aren't mutually intelligible.
