Wait, Burns just Icarito’d the green on 2 with his FOURTH SHOT and we haven’t seen what happened or been provided with any context? What is going on?

I done this on purpose to annoy people on here. They seem to have a real problem with it and b*tch in the comments. Talking about denoms and RTP percentages. Real Gamblers Gamble Period. I am still waiting to see a post from these statistical outcome obsessives where they won big, can anyone show me one? Here is some stats. I walked into the Bellagio with $300 cash and a 6.2k freeplay offer and a comped Penthouse, I woke up with 12.9k in cash, still in a Penthouse and racked 220k tier points in one night. So dont be worrying about RTP and just RTB (return to moms basement)

This may cost me any hope of ever getting a credential, so will be deleting this later. But the Masters app has not been great the last couple of years. Player mix-ups, shots missed, holes finished but no shots. Everything is always so perfect with the Masters, that it’s a surprise when something isn’t.

@Dude_Abiding_ @bean020707 @EPatGolf Maybe not but I watched him after he played Monday pounding drivers at the range until almost dark and then chipped about 100 balls.

@Hawksian @jamierkennedy I know, I did it at the Ryder Cup in Rome. Difference is, there, you can see a fleet of trucks. At Augusta it’s…a big magic show.

Observations from Wednesday at Augusta... 1. I’ve been asking people to guess what percentage of the fans on-site are wearing AT LEAST one item of Masters clothing. I think it’s 64 percent. Mad when you think it’s only on sale here. 2. Also wild you can immediately ship all your shopping home. Asked one woman, she said she just dropped off three large bags and a gnome to be shipped by to New York. Cost $100 and will be there before she gets home on Friday. 3. Augusta is very calm and oddly quiet. Players don’t get cheers or claps (unless they do something silly good) and there's not a lot of fan interaction. Even arriving on tees, it’s eerily quiet. 4. The 7th green is nuts. Wide but narrow, tonnes of movement. It's like a kids skatepark. Probably the green I've seen the players studying the closest. 5. The practice area is an underrated viewing spot. The range is obviously insanely beautiful but there’s interesting shots, loads of players, putting green, two chipping areas. 6. Watched Lowry hit a high, driver cut over the trees on 10. Can’t imagine that’s the play but wow, what a shot to see in person. 7. Never been to the par 3 contest before. Went today. First shot I saw was an ace. Thanks Keegan. 8. Morikawa is not healthy. Surprised he’s going to play honestly, watching him stretch and wince with his injured back. 9. There should 100% be an “overheard at Augusta” Twitter account. It would be an incredible follow this week. My favourite so far was a guy immediately regretting his spend in the shop. A guy near him asked how much he spent? He said “more than you think”, the other guy responded “Well I spent $3,500”, to which the regretful guy replied “double it”.

Morikawa, who is injured, has yet to hit a ball over 284 yards on the range this week. I have serious doubts that he plays the Masters.

@LouStagner What % of those tee shots were at Kapalua?

Lou Stagner (Golf Stat Pro)
I just looked at last ~5.5 years of tour data. ▶️1.72% of tee shots went 350+ yards There were 1143 distinct holes in this data set. Of the tee shots that went 350+ yards, ~33% of those shots come from only 20 of those 1143 holes. The tee shots that are 350+ yards tend to happen on holes where there is some combo of downhill, downwind, firm fairways, or playing at high elevation making it easy to hit it a lot longer than normal. ▶️9.81% went 325+ yards ▶️36.89% went less than 280 yards Most of the 350+ yard tee shots at Augusta happen on the 2nd hole and the 9th hole. Over 80% of the tee shots hit 350+ at Augusta are on these two holes. Both those holes play downhill a lot.

@GolfweekNichols Looks like a great haul but she went to Walmart and bought a suitcase rather than use the UPS stop - which I think was the easiest and quickest thing on property this week?

Rose Zhang had to buy a suitcase from Walmart to take home all her Masters gear. The 2023 Augusta National Women's Amateur champion, and recent Stanford graduate, went on a rare shopping spree this week during the Masters Tournament. The 22-year-old two-time LPGA winner took to Instagram to reveal her haul. "Did I break my break? Yes," she said. "Did I think it was worth it? Yes." golfweek.usatoday.com/story/sports/g…

@JoelMBeall Heard multiple groups of drunk guys yelling at players on Monday during the practice round that they had money on them this week, or thanking Cam Young for winning them money at the Players - just absolute loser behavior.

More color on Morikawa… he played the back nine with Scottie, Cam Young and Sam Burns. Morikawa was really just chipping and putting. Didn’t even hit a tee ball on the 16th, for example.
Paul Hodowanic@PaulHodowanic

Collin Morikawa says he’s “taking it day by day” as he continues to work through the back injury he sustained at TPC Sawgrass last month. Morikawa WD’d before his first round at Valero last week. Masters status still uncertain.

@_DavidRumsey @FOS @FOS_News_ @TheMasters Honestly thought it really missed the mark, the only thing I didn't love all day. Flavor combo was there but there was so much caramel and it was SO hard that it was impossible to eat. Saw a lot of people tossing uneaten ones. So close too.

My guilty pleasure during @TheMasters week? Watching everyone on social media and golf media try to one up everyone else with the best merch haul, Masters memory, photo, autograph, story, etc. It’s hilarious. And at some point this week, I will 1000% join in on the fun ⛳️😎🌸🤷‍♀️🫶💗 #TheMasters #Augusta
