We completed the first phase of high speed internet connectivity at Engineering Faculty, UNN. This first phase was more of experiment and data gathering. It was only at Agric & Bioresources Engineering department and restricted to staff. Next week, we will be extending to both students and staff of Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Agric & Bioresources Engineering. The purpose of this investment is to aid research and learning without barriers. Although, from the data we gathered during this experiment phase, we saw lots of football matches and very little research sites. We will continue to monitor usage and gather more data. This is at no cost to them and I hope they use it to carry out more meaningful researches that will positively impact our society.

With Alhaji Sani Zangon Daura in 1999. Mallam Daura had just been named Minister for Agriculture. With us is Mallam Isa Yuguda, then the Chief Executive Officer of NAL Merchant Bank. Everybody in this photo was wearing made-in-Nigeria fabrics. If we all wore made-in-Nigeria clothes instead of imported ones, we would immediately add $4 billion per annum (what we spend each year on textile and fashion imports) to our GDP.

BLOODY WEEKEND FOR ISWAP/BOKO HARAM ATTEMPT ON LOCATION IN KIRAWA AS HEAVY LOSSES INFLICTED ON THE TERRORISTS Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), under Operation DESERT SANITY and SIEGE OPERATIONS, have successfully thwarted attempted attack by suspected ISWAP/Boko Haram terrorists on troops location in the Kirawa axis of Sector 1 OPHK Area of Responsibility in the early hours of 22 May 2026. A number of the suspected terrorists attempted to infiltrate positions held by troops of 153 Task Force Battalion and associated forces along the Nigeria–Cameroon border axis. The attack was swiftly detected and met with overwhelming firepower from alert troops and CJTF, who held their ground and contained the assault. The terrorists were forced to abort their mission and withdraw in confusion towards the Cameroon axis, sustaining heavy casualties during the engagement. Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance assets, alongside platforms of Air Component of OPHK and partner forces, provided coordinated support throughout the operation. Following the encounter, troops confirmed the neutralisation of 12 terrorists, while several others were observed retreating with gunshot wounds, as indicated by blood trails along their withdrawal routes. Recovered items include AK-47 rifles, rocket-propelled grenade systems, ammunition, and a PKT machine gun, further degrading the terrorists’ combat capability in the area. Troops of OPHK, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force, have maintained their positions with heightened vigilance while exploitation operations continue to track fleeing elements and recover additional materiel. The Joint Task Force reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to sustaining operational pressure on terrorist elements until they are completely neutralised across the theatre. The Military High Command commended the troops for their gallantry, utmost professionalism, and swift response, the third in the week urging them to maintain the operational momentum in the collective interest of national security. *RAIL TRACK VANDALISM: A NATIONAL EMERGENCY* 21 MAY, 2026 marks yet another disturbing incident of railway vandalism in Jos, North Central Nigeria. A truck reportedly loaded with vandalized railway materials got stuck between Kuru and Science School, Kuru — exposing the dangerous and criminal activities threatening Nigeria’s railway infrastructure. Railway tracks are not ordinary metals; they are critical national assets built with taxpayers’ money to support transportation, economic growth, security, and national development. The continuous destruction and theft of railway materials is sabotage against national progress and a direct threat to public safety. The North Central and North East regions are increasingly coming under coordinated attacks on railway infrastructure. This criminal act endangers lives, disrupts train operations, weakens economic activities, and causes huge financial losses to the nation. We strongly condemn all forms of railway vandalism and call on security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders, youths, and residents to rise against this menace. Anyone found vandalizing railway tracks, slippers, fastenings, or any NRC property should face the full weight of the law. @PolicNG @HQNigerianArmy @DHQNigeria @NuhuRibadu @info_NRC @Officialnrcwits @GovNigerNG *Say NO to Railway Vandalism* Protect National Infrastructure. Railway Vandalism is a Serious Crime Against Nigeria.

@winexviv Good start. They should not only allow students "see" their exam scripts after it has been marked, but they should get a photocopy of it and the cost should be part of the exam or course fee. Nothing more than the usually photocopy or scan copy. Scan in PDF will be better.

This afternoon, I spoke extensively with the Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (Prof. Kate Omenugha). Firstly, i asked her why she was charging students compulsory N15,000 which she clearly explained that it's ICT fee. She also explained how the money is being spent. I also raised the issue of absence of electricity in the university for more than 15 years. She clarified that it is the entire Uli town that is facing that challenge and not peculiar to the university. I recommended they invest in building a solar farm to power the university and it's environs as the government of IMO and Anambra state sorts out the power conflicts. We discussed further on the issue of sorting, sex for grades, victimizations, extortions etc which she said that she has been tackling since she assumed office. She also pointed out some ongoing cases she is handling and staff being fired. We agreed that I will share reports i get from students to her and she will prioritize it, investigate and take immediate actions. We also discussed about her letting students see their scripts after exams to reduce missing scripts claims and extortions, which she agreed she will start immediately but gradually. Finally, i recommended she revalidate the certificates of all her lecturers and staff to fish out those with fake certificates as currently being done at Abia State University. She agreed to setup a committee and start that immediately. I will encourage every student in that university to submit any cases or issues of fraud, extortions, sorting, sex for grades, intimidations, victimizations etc here campusintegrity.ng so we can get it to the Vice Chancellor and get it resolved as quickly as possible. Your details will be fully protected. Restoring full integrity in our universities is not option and it's urgent we do it now. We are all in the same journey of building the greatest workforce in Africa within 10 years.

Today, I participated in the APC Presidential Direct Primary at my ward in Ikoyi, Lagos, alongside my dear wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON. Democracy is not sustained by noise, speculation, or borrowed platforms. It is sustained by citizens who show up, party members who believe, institutions that endure, the grassroots, and a political family rooted in the people. The APC remains focused, organised and deeply grounded across Nigeria. Others may gather around grievance. We gather around structure, service, and the work of nation-building. Together, we will continue to renew hope, strengthen our democracy, and build a stronger Nigeria for all. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President Federal Republic of Nigeria

💥Big fight! Dangote Refinery wants to be the only one selling fuel in Nigeria. NNPC says no, that is bad! Dangote makes 40.7ML/D of fuel a day, but Nigerians need 51.1ML/D. Because it's not enough, our extra fuel is drying up. NNPC says Dangote can’t feed everyone alone! Truly, we love Aliko, but the fact is there MUST be competition in the market 👌🏽

PRESS RELEASE I've noticed that I am being misquoted in some of my media interviews, public lectures, and discourse on how to address banditry in Nigeria. This is being done by certain ethnic-interest groups, individuals driven by prejudice, and some sectional internet content creators who use sensational and outrageous headlines to attract viewership at the expense of human suffering and sacrifice. I hereby state unequivocally that any video clip, written statement, or message attributed to me — whether directly or by innuendo — suggesting support for, justification of, protection of, or advocacy for banditry in Nigeria or anywhere else does not emanate from me. I am a loyal citizen of my beloved country, a nation whose potential I believe is unmatched anywhere in the world. I therefore urge the general public, the media, and the Nigerian state to disregard such fake, manipulated, and doctored materials currently in circulation. Furthermore, anyone who continues, from the date of this release, to circulate falsehoods against me shall be liable to legal action. I sincerely hope that our great nation will heal, and that all victims affected by this violence will find comfort in the collective determination of the nation and the international community to achieve a lasting solution to the insecurity fueled over time by ignorance, poverty, and widespread social injustice. Federal Ministry of Health, NIGERIA
For context, GASTROPEX-BH is a locally developed medical device created by paediatric surgeons at ATBUTH for the management of gastroschisis, a serious congenital condition where a baby is born with the intestines outside the body and requires urgent surgery. Until now, devices used in managing the condition were largely imported, expensive, and often difficult to access in resource-constrained settings. This innovation marks an important step in advancing homegrown, context-appropriate healthcare solutions in Nigeria.

WATCH OUT INDONESIA. The US is putting massive pressure on Indonesia right now as part of its desperate plan to contain China. The goal? Turn Indonesia into a US client state that helps enforce an extended blockade around the Malacca Strait >> choking off China’s main energy lifeline. We’re already seeing the signs: a flood of new hit pieces on the Prabowo government popping up everywhere. Polymarket (that classic US psyop betting tool) is suddenly running projections on regime change. Western-controlled media outlets are sliding into DMs with Brian Berletic and myself, fishing for angles >> because we were among the few who called out the last color revolution attempt and exposed the Soros/NED funding networks behind the 2025 unrests. This is coordinated. There’s a clear plan to destabilize Indonesia and flip it fully into the Western camp. Don’t be surprised when your feeds (including X) get flooded with more and more negative coverage of the Indonesian government >> “authoritarian,” “corrupt,” “unstable,” the usual script. Indonesia is too important: biggest Muslim country, strategic geography, resources, and balancing act between powers. The US doesn’t like that independence. They want control over those sea lanes for any future Taiwan or South China Sea showdown. Stay vigilant, Indonesia. Separate real domestic issues from foreign-funded chaos. The hybrid war playbook is in full swing >> info ops, NGOs, media smears, and political pressure. Don’t let them turn your country into the next pawn.

Earlier today, I arrived in Cape Town, South Africa, to take part in the Spier Dialogue 2026, an important event centred on the future of Africa and the urgent challenges facing our continent and the globe. The Spier Dialogue occurs at a crucial time as Africa grapples with significant issues in governance, democracy, economic inclusion, urbanisation, migration, and leadership. However, it also highlights the vast opportunities presented by the energy and creativity of our young population. As leaders and stakeholders gather from various regions, I look forward to partaking in insightful discussions, especially as I have the privilege of addressing attendees tomorrow on policies geared toward growth. Africa’s future should not be characterised by poverty amid abundance or by division instead of development. It is time for us to transition from consumption to production, from divisive politics to politics built on competence and compassion, and from mere promises to tangible progress that serves everyday citizens. Upon my arrival, I had the opportunity to meet with the Nigerian community in Cape Town for a heartfelt discussion about the recent challenges affecting African expatriates in South Africa, resulting in over two hours of fruitful dialogue. I remain dedicated to advocating for a New Nigeria and a New Africa—one where governance genuinely serves the people, where the youth are equipped with education and opportunities, and where leadership is founded on integrity, service, and sacrifice. A New Nigeria POssible. -PO

@MasterBolaji What did or has NNPC done with it four refineries? It had a monopoly but outsourced it to fuel importers. Let them keep quiet. They caused it and they can't fix it by doing the same thing that killed the public refineries.

Why is Dangote trying to stop fuel importers from importing fuel when his refinery still cannot fully meet Nigeria’s fuel demand? And why is he craving monopoly? If Nigeria had many refineries, would he also block others from selling fuel?

Dear Agu, Thank you for your feedback. First of all, the approvals given were not for a 'seaport', but for a Deep Sea Port, which is an entirely different thing. All the states you mentioned, including Lagos, Ondo, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, and Rivers, have access to the sea. Secondly, these approvals were given to states and private individuals who applied for them. A few years ago, Alhaji Dangote also got a Deep Sea Port licence, and you may recall that I visited the Dangote port last year. If Anambra has access to the sea and applies for a Deep Sea Port licence, it will not be denied one. Thirdly, I have been to a Deep Sea Port. It is not possible to have one in Anambra State. For you to have either a seaport or a Deep Sea Port, you must have access to the sea. There is nowhere in Anambra that has access to the sea. And the same goes for all five Southeastern states. Regarding Onitsha, whose market you referred to, as I said above, the Southeast is completely landlocked and, as such, a region with no access to the sea cannot have a seaport. However, to give Ndi'Igbo a sense of belonging, the Federal Government dredged the River Niger and built the Onitsha River Port, which remains idle to this day due to a lack of patronage and regional issues.  The Onitsha River Port has been commissioned three times. It was first commissioned by President Shehu Shagari in 1983 and has gulped over $100 million in Federal Government funds. It is a White Elephant project. This means it is a project built for sentimental rather than economic reasons. A project that costs a lot of money to maintain but yields little to no profit or usefulness. Despite the Federal Government spending over $1 billion to dredge the River Niger, ocean liners still cannot access it. It would cost at least $20 billion to dredge the River Niger enough to allow ocean liners to cross it temporarily. Please fact-check me. And that money would be a massive waste, as nature would render the dredging obsolete in a couple of years. The River Niger is a river, not a sea or an ocean. And dredging cannot change it from a river to a sea! Agu, I hope you now understand why it is impossible to have a Deep Sea Port where there is no sea. Thanks again, and may God bless you.
