@C_Hendrick My Library has arranged all sorts of activities for the younger children in the summer holidays. I expect this library had done the same. But yeah these thugs really care about little children.

Liverpool's Spellow Lane library torched last night. What could be more 'patriotic' than destroying a centre which serves the local community?

Why does it never fall on government to make difficult decisions to raise upper tax levels? or capital gains tax? or corporation tax? or raise ceilings for NHI or council tax payments. Why are so-called "difficult decisions" always made at the expense of those least able to cope?

Last year 5,000 pensioners died from cold as they couldn't afford to eat and heat. Govt has now removed the Winter Fuel Payment from many. Govt produces contestable financial numbers but is silent on the human cost? How many more will die? Watch the Minister's response.

The thugs at Downing street are claiming they are 'protesting knife crime' while some of them are being arrested for having knives. You can not make this shit up.

Matt Hancock gave AI firm Babylon £22m of NHS money; Babylon's owners then gave £250,000 to the Tories, including £10,000 to Hancock himself. No, the last government was not a prudent keeper of the public purse.

I challenge the next TV interviewer who talks to @RachelReevesMP to ask her how much heating allowance she took as an MPs perk last winter and why she now thinks it’s appropriate to take it away from older people this winter.

There is nothing more relaxing than watching the colour develop and the scene change before sunrise. Letting my worries from the day before take perspective and flow away as the promise of a new day begins. Glastonbury Tor this morning at about 5 am.

Sunrise in Southport. A scene of devastation surrounding the mosque on St Luke’s Road after an angry mob attacked police last night. Bricks, bottles, fireworks sit alongside bits of a burnt out police vehicle - metal melted in the heat. @GMB

“I don’t want to lock you up but you have got to get your life sorted out,” said the judge. “You have a drinking problem, and you are drinking in the last chance saloon.” What's a female victim but a mere prop in this man's heroic journey to redemption?

So Reeves first move is to cut the winter fuel allowance, in other words and completely undeniable is the fact she has picked on the poorest people in British society. How despicable that she prioritises these cuts before targeting the most affluent! Welcome to New Labour!
