If you are in a jail cell on Election Day, you should still be able to vote. Our bill to make sure our Democracy includes everybody just passed another key committee in the State Senate.

I wish more people understood this. Kids who feel safe don't carry guns. Kids who have guns are carrying guns because they are scared of something and usually it's something pretty real. Incarcerating teenagers actually worsens the underlying problem.

The PAB's reviewing @SanDiegoPD's wiretapping bugs by Callyo (Apr 10 mtg). When asked why they don't get a warrant, PD said recordings are of places "detectives have a right to be." Other places require warrants for such intrusive tech tho: bostonglobe.com/2023/10/26/opi…

Yesterday, @SDCityCouncil's Public Safety and Livable Neighborhoods Committee approved continued use of Body Worn Cameras by SDPD. They did not discuss the Privacy Advisory Board's recommended modifications to PD's 5-page use policy, except to say that the order of review 1/6
