This interview was incredible. Cohen said multiple times that the offer was half cash half shares and they continously said that he only had $29B in cash so HOW COULD HE POSSIBLY BUY A COMPANY FOR $56B!?!? In my own head I said "umm because the other half is shares??" and CNBC could not put that math together. Then told him "The math doesn't math". Eventually leading to complete confusion on RC's side and him realizing that they brought him on to just try to make him look incompetent compared to all of the "finance pros here". WE NEED TO KEEP CALLING THIS OUT BECAUSE IT MATTERS: California is the 4th largest economy on Earth, and the most populous state in the country. This isn’t a place for amateurs. Becerra has the experience for a state this big, this complex, and this consequential. I’m not interested in gambling on Steve Hilton, the guy who cheered on Brexit and helped crash the British economy. California is not a lab for imported bad ideas. Or Chad Bianco, a conspiracy theorist and ballot thief, running on fear, while his department ranked dead last in solving major crimes and was the highest-paid sheriff in the state. High pay for dead-last performance is highway robbery.

We deleted a prior post of a viral video making light of a reporter seemingly using AI to come up with a question at press conference. At the time of posting we didn’t realize this reporter was recovering from a stroke. In light of that we decided to delete it.
