To all those wonderful new doctors starting as interns, welcome! We've been waiting for you!

Congratulations & best wishes to the 1031 junior doctors who commence their internships across NSW this week. This is the largest number of interns to start in NSW public hospitals to date, & includes 11 Aboriginal interns, & 145 interns for rural hospitals across the state.

As an interstate student the experience was even more valuable; while the content is obviously not very different between states it was great to hear from state organisations like @AMA_NSW and @NswHeti as well as meet my future colleagues working with me next year :)

Top tips for future interns #PRINT2019 - Be organised - Pay attention to detail - Remember others’ names - Its not “work” if you love what you do! - Be kind to one other & yourselves - Communicate clearly & close the loop - Do common things uncommonly well - “Only Handle It Once”
