I decided to let my partner I knew he was cheating by writing "Hello *****" across his bumcheeks when he was asleep and eating for the other woman to spot it. It ended both relationships, fair, but hate how it affected the kids. Wish I'd kept it to myself.

Before supermarkets delivered, we went to a packed store just before Christmas. It was chaos. Rather than battle our way round we simply found an unattended full trolley and took it to the checkout. Everyone buys the same stuff for Christmas. Sorry whoever had to start again.

First time I’d heard this quote in @JamesTitcombe HSJ briefing today. Couldn’t agree more. In my world of performance, I try to not follow the typical course of “scary meeting with the DoP & now I must do x/y/z”. I sometimes wonder if it makes me seem weak, but it tends to work!

I met with one of our junior doctors today to talk through and hopefully reassure them about the investigation process. A 20 min conversation which really hit home to me the impact these things have on staff (not at all forgetting patients and families) 💙
