This video makes me angry. I work somewhere between 3-5 jobs at any given time, and my wife works. We take nothing from the state. Yet we always eat leftovers. And this entitled scoundrel thinks the state should give her enough so she never has to eat leftovers? How about no?

YouTube’s website is currently affected by a major bug that causes individual video tabs to consume over 7 GB of RAM. Users are experiencing severe lag, frozen tabs, and in some cases the entire browser becomes unresponsive. The issue stems from an endless loop in how the interface handles the action buttons below the video player (Like, Share, Save, etc.). The layout code repeatedly shows and hides buttons as it tries to fit them into the available space, triggering constant browser recalculations. This bug impacts Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, and other browsers. A reliable temporary fix is to block the problematic menu using an ad blocker such as uBlock Origin. Add this filter: www(.)youtube(.)com###menu This removes the buttons under the player but immediately stops the memory leak and freezing.

All of our founders were once British and they made great Americans.
And there are still great Americans who were born elsewhere and keep their head down. But immigration policy of the last few decades hasn't exactly ensured they're the norm.

@MichaelFKane @flyfoxpro Yeah, probably not. But the political office ban is absolutely something that could happen. We could also consider extending the ban on foreign-born individuals to all federal offices. Not sure if that's a good idea or not, though I can see immediate benefits.

@MichaelFKane @flyfoxpro Hold dual citizenship if you want to, but you are barred from all political office. Possibly voting as well, although that would make duals slightly second-class citizens. But it would allow for the exceptions you mention.

100% support congressional ban.
Would probably support the second, but I do know some ministry folks that have managed do snag a citizenship abroad as well. Which gives them free access back and forth to that country and home and allows them to stop forever dealing with visas and paperwork and outrageous fees some governments charge.
So I do think there are some uses that are justifiable and would have to consider a permanent ban more before I would support it outright.
But I also think these are generally rare and most of the cases are not 'good' in any sense.

The word "author" derives from the Latin word for authority. For most of the history of written language, authorship meant who was responsible for what a work conveyed, not who physically wrote it. Collaborative composition with scribes was completely normal. The idea that an author is the person who produces every word is a product of the Romantic era.
