@ChuckGrassley Lol - don't forget that you are also getting less energy per gallon, that it is bad for your engine, and that growing the corn it requires is worse for the environment.

With the summer driving season upon us don’t forget E15 could help drivers save 10-30 cents per gallon That could be around $300 per yr in savings at the pump for a family

@LeviHoliday4 You have some control by changing speed profiles with the right scroll wheel but it isn't sufficient to, for example, maintain 60 in a 55. Also, it doesn't always know what the correct speed limit should be.

@allymariexo0 A combination of ignorance and politics, combined with influence campaigns by big oil and legacy ice auto who are threatened by the fact that once you own a Tesla you are very unlikely to go back to ice.

What’s everyone’s hatred towards Tesla? I don’t fucking understand it. Someone help me understand. Because I’ve had nothing but good vibes and good bass and some kick ass comfy seats. And the background noise if you haters really just go out the window for me because I can only imagine either you never drove one, been in one, or know anything about them.

@james_xond That makes no economic sense. Insurance companies are not in business to be 'fair' and would just make you pay for that 'refund' up front in your premiums.

Not everyone will agree with this, but car insurance companies should be refunding safe drivers at the end of the year if they haven’t had a single accident.

@Michael85925437 @wholemars That would be great if it actually worked. But it doesn't. You change down to sloth and it slows down, but now it is too slow. So you dial it up and either it stays too slow or it goes back to too fast. Only sometimes does it go (for instance, in a 55) to about 60 and stay there.

FSD parking idea when you select “Park” option for the destination, a screen should appear that lets you drag a pin to the general area of the parking lot where you want the car to park this would save me so many interventions

@LamarMK @Tesla The 3 isn't just quicker. It is lower, lighter, and handles better. Choose a 3 because it is fun to drive. Choose a Y if you actually need more space than a 3 provides. I would bet that most people don't actually need a Y - they just like 'bigger'.

If you had to choose between a Model 3 or Model Y, which one are you going with? Personally, even though the Model 3 is quicker, I think I’d still choose the Model Y lol. The extra space and comfort just make it such a good daily driver. Hey @Tesla, can we get the Model Y as quick as the Model 3? 😂

@TheGadgetGuru @Tesla_AI @ChuckCook @DBurkland @elonmusk Yeah, 14.2.2.5 consistently found my driveway, went up it and most of the time into my garage (sometimes it would reject the garage at night when it felt the transition up from asphalt to the concrete floor). 14.3.2 always goes right past my driveway. It also is timid/jerky.

This is frustrating. @Tesla_AI, v14.3.2 is definitely a step backwards from v14.2.2.5 #FSD. @ChuckCook & @DBurkland do you have any idea when a new update is coming? @elonmusk, I know you're busy solving the world's problems, but can you fix this? Ugh!

No one should tell you what to do since they don't know your financial situation or your risk tolerance. You would be well served to paper-trade first, especially if you need to learn about the 'greeks' and how to manage risk when things aren't going your way. I highly recommend training by The Cashflow Academy (Andy Tanner), fwiw.

Starting to do option trades starting next week. Planning to sell puts on $QQQ 1 month out at $600. Is that too defensive? Was thinking of selling $TSLA put at $300 or $NVDA at 150 as well. Any suggestions for newcomers welcome. 🙏

@mkolken @GovKathyHochul If she wins the next election, it will go from 'thinking about it' to 'probably will' as I really object to my tax dollars supporting illegal aliens and propping up NYC. Upstate is a pretty place to live, but the taxes and Dem politics make staying here less and less attractive.

Left tards never define what “fair share” means in terms of taxes. They never assign it a percentage or numerical value. As a scientist, this isn’t very convincing. In reality, they mean everything in your wallet. All of it. They just dress theft up as “fairness.”

I have been reluctant to sell CCs on TSLA because of the possibility of a rip upwards and tend to stay with short PUTs (lol, making me a perma-bull...). Do you have a delta rule for your CCs, or do you just eyeball the chart and say 'I don't think it will go there'? Are you concerned about a tax event?

$TSLA covered calls reality check Me: 10,000 shares total. I sell calls on 6,000 of them (60% covered). This caps some upside but I’ve pulled $200k–$400k per year in premium since 2021. That’s real cash that funds our life. My high-conviction buddy: 150 shares, zero calls. Stock rips to $1,000. My outcome: • 6,000 shares called away → $1,000,000 realized gain • Still own 4,000 shares with $2,400,000 in unrealized gains Buddy’s outcome: $90,000 total gain This is exactly what my life on X looks like — people telling me I’m stupid for selling covered calls. I’d rather make hundreds of thousands in premium every year, sleep well at night, and still participate in the massive upside with the uncovered portion than pray for a moonshot with a tiny position. Different strokes for different folks, but the numbers don’t lie.

What are you angry about? Let it all out. In the meanwhile, no one gets the EPA range from any car unless they drive like grandma. My point was that the original poster had no idea what he is talking about. In fact, I have over 325 miles of range for trips (and yes, I have used it). But I seldom drive that far in one day. Sure, there are remote places where it isn't adequate. But over 99% of us don't even need a Tesla's range.

What the dipshit here doesn’t tell you is you only have that warranty as long as Tesla says you have it. Charge it to 100% or let it drop below 20% often enough, and Tesla will insta-void that warranty. How often is enough? Dunno. Tesla won’t say. The reality of the situation is you get to routinely use only 60% of the battery while having paid for 100% of it. If that isn’t the very definition of stupidity, I don’t know what is.
Paul Streitman@PStreitman

@ChrisMartzWX I don't understand why people keep repeating this nonsense. Either they never owned a Tesla and are just repeating something they heard, or they are trying to spead FUD. My 'city dweller golf cart' has over 300 miles of range and an 8 year or 120k mile battery warranty.

EVs are not ideal for long-distance trips or for people living in rural areas where public charging stations are not readily available. They’re city dweller golf carts. But EVs are admittedly becoming more marketable, especially with the volatile fluctuations in oil (and by extension gasoline) prices. Still, the upfront cost of installation of a home chargers is a lot, and it’s not guaranteed to pay itself off with the fuel savings should the battery go bad. The time it takes to charge an EV is also a bit longer than the time it takes to top off an ICE with gas. There are pros and cons. Ultimately, the consumer should be able to choose what he or she wants.
