@mikepat711 100% agreed! I am a heavy user of AI not just for my work but for teaching my kids, health related stuff and planning out ultra race training and pacing etc. Grok unfortunately is mostly great at doing basic things on X.

This is one of the two biggest reasons why I still end up not using grok that often. The second is that it lacks features like Claude’s work helper/cowork, or perplexity’s spaces/perplexity computer. Seems like the real emphasis is on imagine, which is cool but mostly useless for someone like me. Hoping to see them add stuff like this soon. Today I’d say I use Claude 80% of the time, Gemini 10% (because it’s integrated with chrome), and Grok the other 10%. Just started using comet though which is probably replacing Gemini. And I am a person who actually wants to use Grok over all others. But the features others have are just too useful for now.

@AdamLowisz It should be able to do a good analysis today. Grok outputting files in different formats is coming next week.

The original sin of OpenAI was to release ChatGPT as a consumer product with consumer pricing. Three years later, the models have gotten so good that the value they provide to business far exceeds what they pay for it. Claude Code is ridiculously cheap for what it does. The model companies are in a race to become net profitable before investors pull the plug on their valuations. At some point, the industry will have to have expensive business tier pricing. If they don't, someone's going to go bankrupt, forcing everyone to re-evaluate their pricing. So, will the AI industry pause their cut throat competition long enough to engender a soft landing with higher margins, or will someone have to crash and burn first?

Elon just now: "SpaceX AI and Tesla expect to continue ordering Nvidia chips at scale." While TSLA bulls speculate that Tesla chips will crush NVDA, Elon continues to order Nvidia chips at scale.
Elon Musk@elonmusk

@pbeisel I am a huge admirer of Nvidia and Jensen btw. That market cap is well-deserved. SpaceX AI and Tesla expect to continue ordering Nvidia chips at scale.

The AI bubble will pop: Electricity will 2x in cost again over the next 24 months. AI companies will need to 5x prices to break even. Companies who depend on AI will see costs 5x and will be screwed. Users will vanish. Market will plummet.

This is the beginning of the end for @Workday. Charging for data use and egress is the sort of rent-seeking behavior that companies employ when they've run out of innovation DNA. Hey Workday — it's not *your* data, it's your *customers'* data, and they can do whatever they want with it. If you want to block the "parasites", maybe just build a better product instead of engaging in anti-competitive practices (hi @FTC!). If you think you command the same pricing power with @HiBob_HR and @Rippling nipping at your heels, you're in for a rude shock. And just wait until someone builds an open-source Workday (I would bet this is a thing in the next few years). PS: Rippling also exhibits similar (in fact, worse) closed-platform tendencies, and I think it's a big mistake. I hope they change this philosophy. Open ecosystems tend to win in the end.

Recent earnings call, Aneel Bhusri of Workday says startups with AI agents are "parasites" This is what system of record incumbents really think of startups. The war is just beginning. The facts: the user data belongs to the users, not the incumbent software vendor.

Been playing with @Rippling AI this week. Typed in: "I'm trying to plan an offsite for the team sometime in 2026. Suggest windows of times when the least amount of vacations are taken (based on historic data) and are spaced outside of national holidays and school holidays in the Bay Area." Got a bunch of windows, instantly, from live data. Software in the AI era is great!
