@darrelltalksfi Biweekly means 2 months out of the year months you pay an extra half payment (3 payments total)…so while it’s a debt pay down hack to help you, it’s not true to say “without changing in what you pay each month”…

When you realize that making biweekly mortgage payments on a $400,000 mortgage saves you $47,000 in interest and cuts 5 years off your loan without changing how much you pay each month.

I just want to say that when the Knicks were down 25, I told my spouse they would come back. This team just has magic. I haven't cared about the NBA finals like this in years.

Checked into the FanDuel SVG scoring issue last night after seeing a lot of chatter here about it. I know it’s been resolved now but also have received this info: — They paid out SVG top-five finish bets and also kept the Chase Elliott bets as winners — They originally settled the bets based on the immediate finish order NASCAR had before the review (which is what has been corrected now) — “Our house rules state we will resettle based on errors in reporting results, so customers will be covered if this issue happens again”

CONGRATS! You just won a two week all expenses paid bourbon hunting vacation to OHLQ land. There's a catch: You have to stay within ONE region the entire time and cannot leave Ohio. WHAT ARE YOU PICKING? 🤔

@bobpockrass I think what matters most here is that it sounds like the decision was made with input from RCR, and I would presume that RCR advocated for what Kyle’s family wanted.

NASCAR has removed Kyle Busch from its point standings, a decision made following conversations with RCR about how to handle Busch's death and being empathetic of the impact to those who would see his name in the standings.

Move this entire room as-is into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. 234 national-series wins is amazing, but this room allows you to envision it.

@money_cruncher I take less umbrage with his system - because some people need simple, actionable steps - that I do his hubris that his system is the only correct way. The energy his followers bring to the table, badly claiming this is the “correct” way is exhausting.

Biggest problem with Dave Ramsey's advice: His baby steps ignore individual contexts like high earners with low interest debt. He would suggest to pause 401k to pay off 3% debt. Personal finance is personal, and one size fits all approach doesn’t work

"I inherited $1M at 30, what should I do?" I would: 1. Set aside 6-12 months of emergency funds in a MMF 2. Pay off any debt with interest of 7%+ 3. Invest the rest in $VTI What would you do?

@BartolinTristan @Jordan_Bianchi @TheAthletic Your original statement implied them losing money to host the race makes it a bad decision. I pointed out loss leaders can be good overall business decisions, and the origination of this race aided in a better TV payout for them. I’m not making an argument beyond that.

@PTGaines @Jordan_Bianchi @TheAthletic Yes, that's the confusion. They took the money and growth is suffering with most races cable or streaming. Yet you're saying a dwindling TV ratings and lost money for Chicago isn't the worst business decision? That they should continue having less eyes on sponsors?

@BartolinTristan @Jordan_Bianchi @TheAthletic I’m not privy to the internal workings of prime to know how they are succeeding, but NASCAR got 7.7 billion overall. So us Twitter experts can argue all day, but NASCAR got their payday.

@PTGaines @Jordan_Bianchi @TheAthletic Incredibly smart for Prime. They get Memorial Day and Father's Day weekend. Also get that window where a lot of people are traveling to graduations and can stream in their hotels. Only 5 races too so before fans realize it's actually not that different, they are off air.

@BartolinTristan @Jordan_Bianchi @TheAthletic Yet Prime is on record as only taking an interest after the 1st Chicago Street Course - which arguably (for better or for worse) is of more concern to the business of NASCAR.

@PTGaines @Jordan_Bianchi @TheAthletic You lost me. Costco has profited greatly from this strategy. Nascar has 2.5 million less people watching the street race from the first year. They also testified they lost 55 million in the 3 years.

Katherine Legge will attempt the Indy-Charlotte Double this year, running the Indianapolis 500 for HMD/AJ Foyt and NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 for Live Fast Motorsports. If successful, she will be the first woman to do The Double. This is what Katherine said when asked about the possibility of the Indy-Charlotte Double one week ago at Watkins Glen: "I think it would be awesome, right? I think a lot of people have mentioned that, and I think it would definitely be something that e.l.f would be willing to do because they want to do all the groundbreaking, glass ceiling breaking, really cool stuff. So I hope that I get that opportunity one day down the road."

Well, she's right. It would be something unique. The real challenge for her will be staying on the lead lap in the 600. She's only finished on the lead lap twice. One in the Brickyard 400 and once on the Chicago street race. For the 600, on average only 17 finish on the lead lap. So, yes, it would be an accomplishment, but this isn't going to have the buzz that it would if it were a mainstream star from either series.
