A lot of hate gets directed to GitHub unnecessarily without recognizing what's going on. They are seeing an exponential increase in usage (most of it free btw, not even charged).
People who keep saying GitHub is old, needs to be replaced, do not know what they are talking about.

Yup, platform activity is surging. There were 1 billion commits in 2025. Now, it's 275 million per week, on pace for 14 billion this year if growth remains linear (spoiler: it won't.) GitHub Actions has grown from 500M minutes/week in 2023 to 1B minutes/week in 2025, and now 2.1B minutes so far this week. So we're pushing incredibly hard on more CPUs, scaling services, and strengthening GitHub’s core features. And as a fine purveyor of hand-crafted shit code for many years, I'm not gonna weigh in on that. 🤣

I taught Claude to talk like a caveman to use 75% less tokens.
normal claude: ~180 tokens for a web search task
caveman claude: ~45 tokens for the same task
"I executed the web search tool" = 8 tokens
caveman version: "Tool work" = 2 tokens
every single grunt swap saves 6-10 tokens. across a FULL task that's 50-100 tokens saved
why does it work? caveman claude doesn't explain itself. it does its task first. gives the result. then stops.
no "I'd be happy to help you with that." no "Let me search the web for you" no more unnecessary filler words
"result. done. me stop."
50-75% burn reduction
with usage limits getting tighter every week this might be the most practical hack out there right now

@MihirFx @KieraDiss van was overtaking a car, car being overtook should not be in far left lane as it's a filter lane to exit. merc undertakes both going in to the filter lane. the right hand lane was free. Not sure on speeds, but if merc wants to ignore the posted 60 limit, right lane was available

Though its completely wrong to do, I can understand his frustration with the VAN driver. VAN is in wrong lane and blocking and slowing down lots of traffic. This is something police should enforce but sadly member of public had to do it at his own risk.
If you are not overtaking or going slow then you must be in left lane.
