Governor Newsom, with all due respect to the office you hold, your latest outburst against a dedicated public servant retiring after nearly three decades of service crosses every line of decency and statesmanship. Gregory Bovino has spent his career enforcing the laws of this nation laws you, as Governor, have repeatedly chosen to undermine yet you celebrate his departure with venom that would shame any true leader. You call him the smallest man who ever lived while presiding over the largest exodus in California's history: families fleeing sky-high taxes, unchecked crime, streets lined with tents and despair, rolling blackouts, and wildfires that devour communities because priorities were misplaced on virtue-signaling rather than competent governance. You lecture on ruined lives and spread fear? Look in the mirror, Governor. Millions have had their American Dream shattered under your watch, forced to pack up and leave the once-golden state you turned into a cautionary tale of progressive failure. This is not leadership; it's the desperate flailing of a man who knows his record is indefensible and his national ambitions are crumbling. A statesman rises above petty attacks, focuses on solutions, and unites rather than divides. You have chosen the path of the demagogue slick, performative, and utterly destructive. The American people see through the polish. They see a governor who lectures the country while his own state burns, literally and figuratively. They see a would-be president who can't govern the one state entrusted to him. Good riddance? The sentiment applies far more aptly to the era of ruinous policies you've inflicted on California. Let this moment serve as a warning: character is revealed in how one treats those who serve honorably, even in disagreement. Yours has been laid bare. The nation deserves better far better than a man who wields words like weapons while his state pays the price. America is watching. And we will not forget.

A night I will never forget and a sacrifice we will honor each day as we go To Protect & To Serve the people of Los Angeles. May he rest in eternal peace and comfort his family and colleagues.
Los Angeles Police Protective League@LAPPL

We will never forget LAPD Police Officer Randal "Randy" D. Simmons, who was killed in the line of duty on February 7, 2008, after he was shot while he and other members of the Los Angeles SWAT Team made entry into a home at approximately 12:30 a.m.

@Javi_in_4K @mkelly007 You might want to look for a different argument, don’t think the LPR Camera can meet this criteria of a search.

@mkelly007 Happy to discuss it with you in person. What do you have to say to the majority of vehicles who are not suspected in a crime who will now be searched by your policy?

𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘣𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘴, 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥. That was my silent battle cry since September of 2022 regarding overcoming obstacles w/the license plate reader policy. I am grateful beyond words for the amazing community & police support. Thank you! We could not have passed this without you all.

@Javi_in_4K @mkelly007 A search involves law enforcement officers going through part or all of individual's property, looking for specific items that are related to a crime that they have reason to believe has been committed. A seizure happens if the officers take possession of items during the seach.

Not really conservative, but the answer is yes. There were many answers in place that have all been dismantled. They need help, but they are not going to seek it on their own. Somethings need to be forced. It’s called Toughlove.

As Election Day nears, now is the time to choose – new leadership for our city, or more of the same. Hear why some of your neighbors are voting for me as L.A.’s next mayor, and I hope I can earn your vote too on November 8.

My family’s commitment to the Watts community spans decades. Working with programs like Operation Progress has improved the lives of hundreds of underserved students and families. (1/2)

There is an election in a few weeks, so this actually has been cleaned up some. There are so many other parts of LA that look the same. Such unnecessary human suffering. This is not an over priced housing problem.
Benny Johnson@bennyjohnson

I just drove through downtown L.A. What is saw shocked me to the core. 3rd world conditions on *every* block. Tent cities. Filth. Drugs. People digging through, living in and eating trash. Broken lives everywhere. This is not America. See for yourself...

As a Black Mother and Public Servant; with Mexican, Black and White Children, I am heartbroken & appalled to learn of the demeaning racist remarks made by some of our City Council leaders. We’ve come to far to divide our communities. latimes.com/california/sto…

Their apologies feel hollow and too casual in contrast to the words they brazenly uttered behind closed doors. We are not elected to mock children, to promote divisiveness between Black and Brown communities, or to negate years of hard-won unity in attempts to conspire for power.

The response is worse than the original offense! Integrity means that you are the same person in public as you are behind closed doors. Today the hearts of our powerful City leaders were revealed. Heartbroken at the violation of public trust.
Michel R. Moore@LAPDChiefMoore

Today’s revelation of the remarks by our members of our council leaders hurts me to my core. This is not the Los Angeles I know or reflective of the beliefs of the women & men of LAPD. Such remarks are unacceptable in any setting. A dark day for our City of Angels.
