Outspoken Border Patrol official Gregory Bovino is retiring at the end of this month, sources tell CBS News. Earlier in the Trump administration, Bovino was deployed to major cities across the U.S., to oversee sweeping and often controversial immigration raids.

We will never forget LAPD Police Officer Randal "Randy" D. Simmons, who was killed in the line of duty on February 7, 2008, after he was shot while he and other members of the Los Angeles SWAT Team made entry into a home at approximately 12:30 a.m.

This is for anyone who ever granted me an on-camera interview, gave a news tip or blessed me w/ a kind word. Thank you. I’m retiring today after 41 yrs in TV news. Y’all who watched & liked? I’m grateful 4 you too. Stay safe! And support #journalism #1A 🥰✊🏿

I just drove through downtown L.A. What is saw shocked me to the core. 3rd world conditions on *every* block. Tent cities. Filth. Drugs. People digging through, living in and eating trash. Broken lives everywhere. This is not America. See for yourself...

Statement from Commission President William J. Briggs, II regarding today’s news events:

Today’s revelation of the remarks by our members of our council leaders hurts me to my core. This is not the Los Angeles I know or reflective of the beliefs of the women & men of LAPD. Such remarks are unacceptable in any setting. A dark day for our City of Angels.

“Fuck that guy… He’s with the Blacks.” LA City Councilmembers Nury Martinez, Gil Cedillo, Kevin de León and LA Labor Federation President Ron Herrera making racist comments and discuss redistricting. Listen to the audio: knock-la.com/nury-martinez-…
