Northwest ISD trustees have unanimously approved pay raises for all staff! Led by teacher raises funded through new law, educators will see a raise up to $5,000. All other staff will receive a 4% raise from their current base salary. Read more: bit.ly/4lhauYL

A week ago, I was gearing up for an incredible opportunity to use my Texas teacher voice. The conversations at the Capitol were productive, and I left feeling inspired to keep advocating for educators who have felt the strain of budget deficits like we have in our district!

Northwest ISD teachers, administrators and parents visited the Texas State Capitol this week to advocate for adequate public school funding. Texas has not increased the base per-student funding in more than five years. Learn how you can get involved at nisdtx.org/advocacy.

If approved by voters, revenue generated from the VATRE would be used to maintain class size ratios as Northwest ISD continues to rapidly increase student enrollment. Learn more at nisdtx.org/vatre.
