When coming onto an acute shift tonight , I called the Lead ED attending and told him to tell the all mid levels that any/all cross-sectional exams I felt inappropriate would be reported to the hospital QA committee. By shift end, only had 10 CTs versus the typical 40 #winning

Is it just me or is the complication rate in these bariatric cases insanely high? So many leaks, dehiscences, abscesses, etc. Can we retire bariatric surgery and just put all these people on GLP-1s? @northwoods1980 @LetDdiceFlyHigh @drsxr @benwhitemd

@PVanGeertruyden There are some foot and ankle reviews on the topic which do not have the tibia plafond spur and only talus w several examples similar to this. But I tend to agree with your assessment.

Any thoughts or pearls on the dorsal neck bony protuberance. When etc. we would consider cam impingement or anything else vs an incidental congenital variation. Assuming we live in a world wo clinical hx and exam findings/rad day

I'm curious if others out there are reading CTA head, neck exams all night long from the ER with these types of indications? This patient, intermittent dizziness for about one month. Heads to the ER and they start with CTA head and neck.
