@hurr30316 @task_fortress Amen. We pray fir our dead and honor them because we love them. We are a part of them as family. Refusing to honor them would be like a man trying to cut off his own hand.

As a catholic we were never told visiting graves is idolatry. We can also appreciate beauty of shrines and temples. Regarding a family register of the dead, i can admit it’s a new concept to me. Western family lines are constantly separated through war and conflict so it’s rare to have clear information of ancestors. I see no harm in preserving that.
