This proves how important it is to get the Western governments involved to provide more support and put policies in place to get our graphite projects up and running to reach our net zero ambitions.

Even if every single graphite project in the West which is planning to produce natural fake graphite for LIBs becomes operational, we would still depend on sourcing 50% of graphite from China to reach the EV demands.

I’ve been taking part in some very interesting conversations the past few days regarding how globally 100% of synthetic graphite for LIBs is being supplied by China and approximately up to 90% of coating of natural flake graphite happens in China.
