This woman was an All American softball player who also played women’s professional baseball & has been covering the team since 1990s. Angie knows more about the sport than everyone on the internet criticizing her combined. Oh and she just suffered a stroke 2 months ago - it’s amazing she’s working at all. The #Giants’ situation with All-Pro DT Dexter Lawrence is not in a good place and has not been for a while. While money is a big part of it, another element is that Lawrence has seen many players leave the organization over the years. He’s stayed quiet, been a good soldier, and tried to be a team guy. So when it became clear last year that he had outplayed his contract and it was time for a new deal, the organization not taking it so seriously felt like a slap in the face. That has continued this offseason. In the words of one source: “He understands what those players who were shown the door by the Giants felt.”
