I am excited to share that today we have had our first harvest from our @StateIVLP project on Climate literacy. What did I learn from the project? Environmental literacy is part of the solution to the current crisis. Each school should utilize their land to grow healthy food for the learners. And most importantly,Action! Action! Action! As part of PAN Africa Regional meeting on pesticides was to visit a successful agroecology farm and learn on alternative approaches the farm is using to grow their food. We visited @GbiacKe and saw various approaches undertaken. We do not need synthetic pesticides to grow food,we can incorporate cultural and ecological methods. #Foodsystems #OrganicFarming #BanHHPs #Pesticides @routetofood @FAOAfrica

I'm honored to have been awarded a Climate Honours diploma by #Finland for amazing work in promoting climate literacy. "Finland’s missions around the world are granting the diplomas to organisations and individuals who lead the way in combating climate change. Using the diploma, Finland wants to encourage discussion about climate issues and call attention to international actors working for a common future. Finland believes in the importance of recognising work that is being done to find solutions to environmental issues. Climate Honours express gratitude and encouragement while focusing attention on climate actors. I'm so grateful to the Minister of Climate and the Environment of Finland Kai Mykkänen for the award that I dedicate to young people across the world. May it always remind them that they deserve to have climate information. In a study by the #ZeroMercury Working Group published in 2019, 158 samples of skin lightening creams were collected from 12 countries and analysed. Out of these, 95 were found to violate the limit of one part per million (ppm) of mercury. google.com/amp/s/www.stan…
