Oscar Piastri has finally admitted that the Monza swap, where he lost a 6-point swing due to the Papaya rules, hit him harder than it first seemed and affected his performances in the following races. The breaking point was probably when he got rammed in Singapore with no consequences for his teammate. Keep in mind, Oscar is only in his third year in F1 and is already fighting for the WDC. @rhensn_ @F1 @aramco He gained on him after the puncture which he pitted for fresh tires. Obviously he was going to be faster. And even then, that’s not true considering the fact Norris was gaining very quickly as soon as the tires began to slightly drop off. Also Max is generally fast in Brazil.

In short, they were rubbish in qualify but turned it all around when it mattered, so fair play to them, but MCL 38 was slower than RB in Interlagos race.
