This Monday to Wednesday I will be in Washington, DC as part of my advocacy agenda, where I have scheduled meetings with Members of the United States Congress from both parties, including Representatives Tom Suozzi, Jerrold Nadler, Andrew Garbarino, and Representative Nicole Malliotakis , along with their legislative teams. I will also be meeting with both United States Senators from New York, @SenSchumer and @SenGillibrand I look forward to reconnecting with Senator Schumer, with whom I have previously collaborated in New York on Medicaid-related initiatives, and to continuing meaningful dialogue on protecting access to care. These bipartisan conversations will focus on the physician workforce shortage, reimbursement challenges, sustainability of residency and fellowship training programs, and the structural pressures facing our healthcare system. We will also address concerns affecting international physicians, including recent visa and status change issues that are impacting trainees and patient care nationwide. In addition, I will be meeting with Mark Cuban @mcuban, who has been actively engaged in healthcare innovation efforts, to exchange perspectives on improving affordability and access. I am grateful for the opportunity thought the American Medical Association @AmerMedicalAssn to engage leaders from both the Democratic and Republican parties and to bring forward the concerns of physicians and patients alike and to represent @ProjectImg and healthcare workers across the nation. I look forward to a productive and impactful week in DC.
