There’s no male Ugandan artist as professional, disciplined about his music career and talented like @IamApass ! I happened to book him last week for Guvnor’s Saturday night Fever, he posted and promoted the gig , did a drop for the night without any reminder. Arrived 1 hour before his performance, he came with his music technician and performed with live instrumental sounds so we can hear his voice. Not seen something like that before! Everyone was happy and complimenting his performance! Apass deserves his flowers. BOOK HIM!

In today's NewVision ; Our support to H.E. @KagutaMuseveni 's re-election was generally for appreciating him for the issuance of the executive order on citizenship rights that promoted inclusion, whereby many of us now indigenious Bavandimwe who were victims have national documents. You all might not understand what i went through as one of the former victims ! THANK YOU PRESIDENT MUSEVENI .

This flag pole is only half way complete. Our engineers were waiting for our crane to arrive from abroad to finish it. It's going to be the tallest in Eastern Africa! Rather than salaries and exorbitant allowances money should be spent in making our Fatherland Uganda great!

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has this evening assented to the Protection of Sovereignty Bill, 2026, formally making it a law.   The new law is intended to; ✅ provide for the protection of the sovereignty of the people of Uganda ✅ designate the Department responsible for peace and security in the Ministry responsible for Internal Affairs as the implementing authority ✅ provide for the registration & regulation of agents of foreign entities ✅ regulate funding and other forms of assistance to such agents; and for related matters.   With the Presidential assent, the Bill now becomes law & will guide implementation by the relevant state institutions in line with existing legal and policy frameworks.   The Protection of Sovereignty law is expected to strengthen Uganda’s capacity to safeguard its independence in national decision-making processes, while further entrenching the constitutional principle that governance & development priorities remain anchored in national interest. It is also anticipated to improve clarity in the management of state authority, enhance institutional coordination, and support ongoing efforts to promote stability, accountability, and orderly governance.   In addition, the law is seen as complementing Uganda’s broader development agenda, particularly in advancing economic transformation, improving public sector efficiency, and safeguarding national policy space as the country continues to engage with regional and international partners. #OpenGovUg

Today at Nakasero, I met Mr. Aliko Dangote and we discussed the proposed East African regional refinery. I informed him that from the very beginning, we have always opposed the export of raw materials without value addition. That is why Uganda delayed oil production because we insisted on first having a refinery. Without refining our oil, it would not make economic or strategic sense to simply export crude oil while others benefit from the finished products. I, therefore, welcomed the idea of a bigger regional refinery because our objective is African integration and shared prosperity. We cannot continue operating as fragmented and weak markets. If East Africa works together, such projects become more viable and beneficial to our people. Uganda is ready to support the regional refinery initiative while also continuing with the development of our own refinery in Hoima.

Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu, greetings.   After consultations with the national epidemic response task force and religious leaders, we have decided to postpone the Martyrs' Day to a later date, which will be communicated.   This decision was made because Uganda receives thousands of pilgrims annually from Eastern Congo, which is currently experiencing an Ebola outbreak. To safeguard everyone's lives, it is essential that this important event be postponed.   I encourage those who had begun their journey to return home, continue observing the precautionary measures, report anyone who is sick, and encourage those who are ill to seek medical care.   We regret any inconvenience caused, but the protection of life must come first.   Signed: Yoweri K.
