FOX kept having to make movies to keep the rights, but they made the mistake of starting out with older actors, then after writing themselves into a corner because of that, they started the goofyass timeline shenanigans.

For any of you who know me, I love Dontayvion Wicks. Really enjoy how he plays and what he brings to the team. That said this is a really good and smart deal for Green Bay. The WR room needed thinning. Golden and Williams need to play. Wicks had 3 years to ascend & didnt. They weren’t going to re-sign him so getting two picks, including a 5th this year is good value. This is exactly the type of cost I thought he’d go for. GB needed more picks and to clear space to draft a WR. Wicks wanted more playing time. The Eagles needed a WR with Brown about to be a Patriot. It’s a win for all 3 sides imo. Make no mistake, the Packers will draft a WR too. 2026 WRs: Watson, Reed, Golden, Williams, Moore, Rookie

@AaronNagler The first 2 books being the shortest books, but also the 2 longest movies of the series should tell you plenty about why a remake was necessary.

Tf you mean? They left out enough book content in the movies to make a whole new set of movies just using the left out content if they wanted. It should have been a TV series to begin with, but it was unfortunately during the time before TV shows were cool/respectable enough to justify blockbuster movie budgets.

@AaronNagler Love the books, Love the movies...I don't understand why we needed this...the story was beautifully told...We think of the original actors AS those characters. Especially with the deaths of Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, & Robbie Coltrane. Feels wrong to see those characters recast

I was wondering how this particular guy could be stupid enough to actually start a fight with Ritchson, but then I noticed THAT in the background

His parents, along with Chris Columbus, & all the older actors from the HP movies. Columbus, after having worked with Macaulay Culkin on Home Alone, made sure the set was a safe & healthy environment for the child actors. The older actors were also like secondary parents for the kids on set. It would be tough to find a better setting for child actors to grow up in than the HP movie sets, especially for the first 2 movies.

Went to my second ever broadway show the other week and it was a one-man performance by Daniel Radcliffe aka Harry Potter. He spends the 20 minutes before every show handing out props and recruiting people to interact with him during the show. Never seen someone so dialled in. Was an amazing performance, 1.5 hours straight, no intermission. He does this night after night. Did some math with Claude and he probably makes $50K per week which is great $$ but still considerably less than what he would make for a movie role. His parents also helped him invest his Harry Potter earnings well and he makes $660K/month just off investments (UK companies are required to make full financial disclosures, very different from the US but very useful for this kind of pocket watching). Which means he never has to work again he just continues to do this for the love of the game. These kinds of in-person experiences and acts of passion are one of the few things that can’t be replaced by AI Oh also he does not like it when you call him Harry or bring up his old movies. Ask me how I know.
