@ChairmanThePlug The transformation of Zimbabwe needs all of us. It's not a one-man/one-party job. The current setup makes it impossible for inter-party relations which are instrumental in nation-building. We have a similar vision and foundation, the difference is in policy selection and execution

Your take on this is based on a dishonest if not inaccurate assessment. The issue is not "disputed elections". If we are to have a solution and properly interogate our ills, we have to be brutally honest in pointing out the root cause. The use of the phrase "disputed elections" is being very stingy with facts. I do like how you have attempted to analyse issues and it keeps the conversation going, otherwise lets just be honest that elections are stolen, ZEC is corrupt among many other irregularities.

Dear Chofamba @Chofamba The question is not whether people are clamouring for a political system. The real question is whether that system resolves a political problem. My intervention is anchored on a simple but critical reality. Zimbabwe has endured a perennial cycle of disputed presidential elections. That is the political problem I am interrogating. Serious constitutional and political reforms are not born from noise or popularity contests. They are born from the need to create stability, legitimacy, and public confidence in governance systems. History shows that many political systems across the world were not initially demanded by the masses. They emerged because political actors recognised structural weaknesses that threatened national cohesion and institutional legitimacy. My reflection on the proposed amendments is therefore straightforward. Do they meaningfully address the recurring crisis of disputed presidential outcomes or do they merely preserve the status quo? To argue that political reform should only be guided by what people are currently clamouring for is to reduce statecraft to sentiment instead of problem solving. Leadership is not only about responding to public emotion. It is also about anticipating and resolving structural political risks before they become national crises.
Chofamba@Chofamba

.@glenmpani one key question you should have no problems answering: When did Zimbabweans ever clamour for a change in how they elect their President? This “debate” you’re “contributing” to - where among Zimbabwean citizens has it arisen from? Ndepapi uye ndiriini ruzhinji rweZimbabwe parwakati tiri kunzwa shungu yokushandura masarurirwo emutungamiri wenyika? Of course, the question is redundant, because this is a contrived debate. It is not organic; it’s imposed by E.D’s cabal and fuelled by his consultant narrative builders - yourself, @ProfJNMoyo and others - to try and make it a real thing.

@SteveRojazi @soko_wafawanaka @penuelist_ I am worried about that "bit" of violence because at the end of it is a person who shouldn't be subjected to such. And also, there is also levels to xenophobes. The loud ones who i dont have a problem with, the indifferent ones who are quiet but agree and the ghosts of X,the fuel

I have lived in S.A for a very long time Trust me I have seen real Xenophobic attacks What's happening now probably is protests that end up being a bit violent, one or 2 incidents here and ther Obviously that's not right But to say we feel unsafe to walk outside that's a lie Obviously there are also content creators seeking that creator money who push lies on both sides. If we're gonna call out Black South Africans for generalizing about foreigners, exaggerating about us and painting us with one brush we should also by the same token be fair and not do the same. Yes South Africa has Xenophobic elements but it's the minority. And of that minority there is also hungry content creators pushing content for engagement then there are also politicians like Gayton and @HermanMashaba who just wanna push for votes by taking advantage of the uneducated poor people. Those that genuinely hate Africans are a handful

I drive around Gauteng all the time, including today. I speak to SAns & foreigners around South Africa every day. My African brothers & sisters are running their businesses, enjoying time with their families, going shopping, chilling outdoors, & continuing with life. Don't let media propaganda lie to you... especially Twitter. The whole continent & world is being fed lies about South Africa... just like Elon Musk & Donald Trump have lied about White Genocide. There have been 4 protests that I'm aware of... in Durban, kuGompo, Johannesburg & Pretoria, to highlight the frustration SAns have with UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS, some who commit crimes here & a govt that refuses to deal with this issue. But there has been no looting. They aren't going around beating up foreigners. They aren't killing anyone. If there are any attacks, it has been very very few isolated incidents. Yet people, African leaders & Africans in Diaspora are spreading lies. If you are a foreigner in South Africa, you have an obligation to tell the truth about what's going on. Otherwise you'll lie about South Africa & South Africans, and I swear that any backlash will negatively affect you as well. Let's stop the false propaganda & lies. Tell the truth. Encourage others to tell the truth. And let's fix what we can, and expose our corrupt govts where we can. Thank you. Pen.

"We need to be very careful about xenophobia... We need to understand that South Africa does not have a xenophobia problem... We have a Afrophobia problem." Political analyst Pieter Kriel says attacks on African migrants in South Africa reflect afrophobia, driven by migration and economic pressures.

Zimbabweans must understand that the commander who shaped the Zimbabwe we live in today is no rush into battle. He moves deliberately, appearing reluctant at times, but always knowing exactly what he’s doing. Who ever believed Chiwenga could remove Mugabe? He is a true strategist. Let us be patient—soon the General will lead us out of bondage. True independence is on its way. #Mukanya#General

Dear Rt Gen Chiwenga We hope this tweet finds you well. In recent days we have seen bits of you talking in very ambiguous tone and leaving many including critics alike to interpret differently. We have watched late Blessed Geza come out and promote you but there was no defence for him. Your own man died in self imposed exile in SA. Did you play him or it was part of your strategy? We are here with CAB3 because you allowed it, until you come out and boldly declare 'No to CAB3' you are playing Zimbabweans, you are doing a Geza moment and playing the pacifier to any possible mass demos. You are a decorated general with friends in high places. Prove us wrong and we will issue a full apology. #Noto2030 #NotoCAB3

In South Africa it's not that difficult to spot a black foreigner, they love wearing the English Premier League team jerseys. The black South Africans are not that much into foreign leagues, they wear local colors. Maybe it's because there's massive investment in their local league.

@aksisnotaword @Dhokodho @Shadaya_Knight There are also failures in thr Football academies. Thousands are enrolled every year and so few make the cut into professional football. Some end up being fringe players to help professionals train at best. At least with a trade, there is a bit of control kn the outcome

Young people, go to school or learn a skill. Don't be deceived by this new talk about how content creators are making money. @BrianRupiya @iNdaba_ I beg to differ. Why is it that our political approach has to be binary? Are we not equipped enough to pursue multiple avenues? Dear Themba Gorimbo I had initially resolved not to comment on your recent interview with Larry Madowo. However I found myself deeply troubled by one particular statement you made when you said, “Nobody in Zimbabwe supported me.” That line struck a painful chord and not because it offended me personally but because it seemed to erase the genuine solidarity that many of us extended to you from home. What saddens me most is that your statement overlooks the countless Zimbabweans who publicly and consistently offered you moral support. I may not even be a devoted UFC fan but I began following the sport because of you. Your journey became our story too a source of pride, hope, and representation on a global stage. Many of us shared your victories, defended you in comment sections and celebrated your progress as though it were our own. Of course what you say and how you frame your experiences is ultimately your prerogative. That is your truth and you are entitled to it. But I feel compelled to say that your words were unfair to the many Zimbabweans who stood with you through both triumph and defeat. Our support was visible, vocal, and documented across social media platforms. It did not disappear when you lost nor did it suddenly emerge only when you won. If you have chosen not to associate yourself with Zimbabwe that is entirely your decision and one you are free to make. But please cut us some slack. Do not write us out of your story as though we were absent spectators. We were there. We cheered you on. We defended your name. We believed in you. All we ask is for our support to be acknowledged not dismissed. Because even when you felt alone, you were not entirely unsupported at least not by your own people.

@Nicole_Barlow1 @SteersSA Rubbishing another class' struggle is not good. You may find the "work beyond your scope" was not menial. Like asking an HR officer to stand in at reception. Comparing those two instances is not only gaslighting but being dishonest. It opens up to exploitation and jutifies it.

This reflects a broader problem in South Africa: a growing sense of entitlement compounded by gaps in basic education. I’ve often been asked to take on work well beyond the scope of my role, and I’ve never refused. The issue with companies like @SteersSA is that, in their desperation to appease the loudest voices and avoid public backlash, they fail to defend and cultivate a strong culture of pride and responsibility in the workplace. The result is an increasingly entitled labour force. In a country with extremely high unemployment - disproportionately affecting Black South Africans - why would we support attitudes or actions that make the situation even worse? 😭
Danilo@odedanilo

@SteersSA 1. We want the manager fired with immediate effect . 2 . We want a formal apology from steers directly to the workers . 3 . We want the workers to be compensated separately for the garden work they were forced to do .

@iam_smx So you intentionally ignored what "equal footing" actually means. The status quo in South Africa at independence saw socio-economic imbalance to previously excluded groups(Africans). So to ensure "equal footing" policies were introduced to right the wrongs of Apartheid.

That’s the right thing to do. Not to replace one set of racist laws with another set of racist laws, which is utterly wrong and improper.
