BREAKING: Trump gets nightmare news about his illegal Iran war as early polling reveals that a staggering 59% of Americans disapprove of his strikes and 60% think that he has no real plan. And the numbers get even worse for him.... According to the new CNN poll by SSRS, 62% of Americans think that Trump should get congressional approval before conducting any further military operations. It's rare that so many Americans agree on an issue, but their belief is backed up by the Constitution. The president does not have the power to declare war and what Trump has already done would be impeachable if we had a functioning Congress. Only 27% believe that the Trump administration made enough of an effort to exhaust diplomatic options with Iran before resorting to military force. 39% believe that the U.S. did not try hard enough and 33% are unsure. The 39% are right. Trump pretended to negotiate in good faith while he and Netanyahu plotted their lawless attack. They were never interested in peace. It's also worth noting that none of this would have happened if Trump hadn't ripped up President Obama's historic Iran nuclear deal out of spite. Only 12% of Americans favor sending ground troops into Iran, a doomed strategy that Trump has already floated. 60% oppose such an idea. 56% of Americans believe that a long-term military conflict with Iran is now somewhat likely and 24% of those think it's now very likely. It's hard to imagine a worse move for our nation's future than another pointless, expensive, blood-soaked war in the Middle East. Republicans claim that we don't have the money for healthcare, but apparently we have endless funds to drop bombs on Iranian children. 54% believe that Iran will become a greater threat to America thanks to Trump's war and even 40% of those who support the attacks are unconvinced that they will make Iran less of a threat. A few things are absolutely certain. This war is not in our country's best interests, it was declared illegally, and Americans are now dying because of Trump. He is the worst president that this country has ever suffered under and when the midterm elections arrive we must hold his entire party accountable. Please ❤️ and share if you oppose the war.
