Keep reading or hearing the Padres don't have depth. They have depth everywhere. Especially in the bullpen & the position player group actually has a legitimate bench for what feels like the first time in ages. Granted the starting pitching could unravel (but still have Waldron, Musgrove & Canning coming back plus a 5 man rotation, Sears in El Paso maybe Gonzales plus McKenzie) just seems like everyone is simply repeating the same thing without really looking into it.

The gap between the Padres bullpen and the 2nd best is bigger than the gap between 2-10. No team possesses the sheer amount of depth in terms of high octane arms as San Diego does. It's not close. There's more coming too. Get ready to learn Bradgley Rodriguez and Tucker Musgrove

@TooMuchMortons_ I've been looking at other contending teams 4th and 5th starters and Buehler and Marquez aren't even close to the worst.

Maybe I’m crazy but I don’t think the Padres rotation is as bad as everyone is saying. It’s definitely not ideal without Musgrove but I think they’ll survive and Preller will add a big name at some point. Basically betting on Niebla (and Petco) and I don’t think that’s a bad bet.
