Alright, so I kinda-sorta figured out how the new weight thing works. I suck at it though. As the circle closes the left mouse button in the middle darkens. Once it's dark you click and then sometimes it's successful. The timing feels like more of a guess than a prediction.

We have started the installation of update 1.0.4.9 for #EscapefromTarkov. The installation will take between 4 and 6 hours, but may be extended if required. The game will be unavailable during this time. Starting today, Escape from Tarkov editions receive new bonuses in addition to what they previously provided. Your active edition will increase the experience gain in raid: ● Left Behind Edition - 7% XP bonus ● Prepare for Escape Edition - 9% XP bonus ● Edge of Darkness Limited Edition - 12% XP bonus ● The Unheard Edition - 20% XP bonus, applied to all group members Group bonus does not stack with other bonuses or with itself. For example, if players with Prepare for Escape and The Unheard Edition play together, each will receive 20% more XP. Same goes for a group of multiple The Unheard Edition players. Apart from that, owners of The Unheard Edition now have an additional opportunity for customization - it now allows using clothing regardless of faction. This feature applies to all tactical clothing, including items from BattlePass and Tactical Maps from EFT: Arena. These additions will make upgrades more valuable without affecting gameplay during the raid in any way. New bonuses are also available to players who already own the upgraded editions.

with all due respect, the valorant balance team has to genuinely be some of the worst to ever do it when it comes to agent balance ngl it’s almost impossible to even try to understand some of their decisions. what pisses me off most is that they will OFTEN go back and essentially break their initial philosophies on a character instead of tackling the actual issues at hand for example: when waylay came out, she had very slow pullout time on her dash because it would be too broken if she had fast pullout. Their solution? give her fast pullout time on dash. same with neon. slow pullout on slide when she was released for very clear reasons of things like shotguns being too broken. their solution? fast pullout time that made her broken and unfun to interact against 90% of the time. and obviously it’s not like you can just nail a perfectly balanced agent on release, so changes are expected, but man it’s like at a certain point they just send a guy in a room that doesn’t really play the game to just deal with whatever character the community is complaining about what gets me most is that their final solution has been to almost always kill a characters identity instead of applying real, meaningful changes. does their balance philosophy change over time? or do they lose sight of it? I have no idea, but hearing from top players that slide+ judge is still very strong is the cherry on top for this one anyway thank god for deadlock rn otherwise I’d be trippin out daily over this change

They actually killed Neon movement with this update its so sad. Her core mechanics should not have been touched at all it feels awful to play her now its so slow. Her entire identity as an agent has been destroyed and it feels like a very rushed/quick fix to make the community stop complaining about Neon. I understand that Neon did need a nerf but this was overkill. Not only was her in-air movement nerfed you don't even get a refresh on your fuel with kills. All of these nerfs with no re-work or adding utility back i.e slide/stun. Furthermore, Sentinels are getting a buff which would fix most of the problems with Neon. Also other duelists getting nerfed like Yoru/Waylay made her pickrate go up and made her look like a bigger problem. Instead of nerfing her movement speed, its already a good balance not getting your fuel back on kills. That was the main issue in my opinion. I would also prefer to go back to pre-buff neon slide if it meant I could keep the air-speed. Neons slide is what people complain about the most when it comes to her utility. The shotguns are also still not nerfed enough with Neon. An easy improvement would be to make the pullout time after sliding the same as operator so you can't instantly shoot mid slide. Her slide is still very good post-nerf and so is her ult. I'd like to see a nerf to her ult to balance out her kit more and that would make adding her air-speed back make more sense. I know it's hard to balance agents in VALORANT especially Neon. I just hope that we could find a good balance that isn't just cutting her legs off.

@TiffyMunchsnax I really wish it would've been addressed four years ago shortly after her release instead of letting a community learn and master it. It's really frustrating to sink so much time into a skill just for it to be gutted or even removed and has now happened with several agents.

@TiffyMunchsnax It's just simply better evasive movement that could be used to get into better positions to take someone out or distract while a teammate gets them, and with practice was something people could and did get really good at. If it was unintended for her kit and design

@SaltagreppoD2 Yeah idk how they look util spam and can't come to the conclusion to just make grenades less spammable? Make them cost heat? Make so you can't quick throw them? Increase the time it takes to throw them in any way? You can throw a second frag rn before the first one goes off lol

@HytaleLost @Skarrow9 Regardless it seems like a ban aid fix imo other games have had similar problems and just simply made it to what you then had to equip said nade pull pin and all that making the overall process longer and a more conscious decision that if done at a bad time was punishing.

@Paininthebox @Skarrow9 Quantity enabled nade spam to be very strong. Say I wanted to bring 8 nades with a blue bag (32 slots). With old nade stack that only takes up the free nade/utility slot and 4 slots. With the new stack it's now the free nade/utility slot and 14 bag slots x.com/i/status/20516…

@kambyyy @MarathonDevTeam Reducing stack size is a decent change. Old max stack with a purple bag for nades was 42 and is now 21. Blue was 34 to 17. Green was 26 to 13. White was 18 to 9. Reducing the potential nades amount 1 person to an entire team can hold by 50% will be noticeable
