🧵 As a progressive and leftist organizer in GA who also lives in reality, a few points. 1. It would be ahistorical to not recognize Kamala’s contributions to the LGBTQ+ community. She began conducting same-sex marriages in 2003 as San Francisco DA. She created a program to give first time drug offenders education and vocational opportunities. In her CA AG role, she was critical to restoring marriage equality to CA. She also abolished gay + trans panic defenses.
