Before we had silicon chips, we had needle and thread. In the 1960s, NASA didn’t ‘upload’ code; they sewed it. To get Apollo 11 to the moon, skilled weavers (often called ‘Little Old Ladies’) literally hand-stitched software into physical objects.

Big congrats to the whole team at @gizatechxyz for the release their new product Giza World. I was given the opportunity to turn their dataset of more than 16.000 active agents, performing more than 800.000 transactions, into a living data sculpture. Kind of mind-blowing to experience the end result, knowing that each movement of each individual particle is backed by real, on-chain, transactions.

Not managed to win a single game against AI on 5x5 tic tac toe. Makes for some pretty patterns though.

Form. Light. Function. The hemisphere SF 28 by Tecnolumen reflects the spirit of European modernism. Designed within the circle of architects working parallel to the Bauhaus and influenced by Swedish functionalism, this lamp embodies reduction, clarity and purpose. Day 3/30 I built Archie - an AI-powered procedural architecture generator. Describe a building in natural language and Claude interprets it into a 25-parameter genome that drives a Three.js 3D generator in real-time. Breed variants through genetic crossover, tweak every parameter from chaos to verticality, and export to GLTF for Blender/Rhino/Unreal. Features: - Text-to-architecture via Claude - Evolutionary breeding with a 4-variant selection grid - Batch generation of 8+ variants from a single prompt - AI critique that references real architectural movements - 6 style presets (Deconstructivist, Brutalist, Metabolist, Hi-Tech, Parametric, Minimal) - 6 environment moods with dynamic lighting and fog - GLTF + PNG export

metal 3D printing just collapsed lead times for custom cylindrical parts elimold prints non-standard geometries that traditional machining cant touch when “standard” doesn’t exist in your spec sheets you don’t machine it you print it.

Polymorphic moulding: a manufacturing method that forms parts using a grid of computer-controlled pins: Each pin can move up or down independently, so together they shape a surface that acts like a custom mould. Instead of building a fixed mould for every product, the machine quickly repositions the pins to match a new digital model. This means a mould can be created in minutes, used, and then reshaped again for the next design. Because the hardware stays the same and only its configuration changes: > no permanent tooling is needed > very little material is wasted > setup time between products is minimal The system essentially turns mould making into a programmable process. Engineers send a design file, the pins form the mould geometry, and the material is cast or formed inside it. Especially useful for rapid prototyping and customised manufacturing, where many different shapes must be produced in small quantities without rebuilding tools each time.
