As a hardcore neet i have to say u the non neets are not prepared for neet life, mans ultimate problem is truly what to do with his free time, u seek it, chase the trap of wealth, and that what ultimately makes u happy.
Imagine desperately pursuing more wealth with all of your time to buy yourself more free time
and then when you get blessed with an excuse to have a ton of free time, you are completely lost, can't pick up a hobby, and spend all your time bickering with others, writing about that money doesnt make you happy, or arguing online about geopolitics.
The alure and trap of having too much time as result from wealth is peculiar and subtle, from first glance everything suppose to be better, thats far from truth, u detach from society rhytm of 6 to 9, people around you cant afford the luxury of free time, and that slowly drives people into depression or insanity. Hence so many who made it here end up sudokuing.
Hence so many of baby boomers and boomers that have nuff money not doing anything actually sit in same office, and do same shit as before they made it. Especially true for men, it just how nature made it so, man not meant to have free time.
U sit bored in lambo or some american car(as in trash), it doesnt change anything.
Also btw horse, regarding ```bad healthcare``` money can fix it locally, but if u in another country, u gonna stand in same lines etc, what money gon change, u gonna spawn fueled helli on your location out of thin air and pinpoint private hospital or smtg? Money actually changes way less if u without infra than people think, it just same shit in different facade

Money doesn’t automatically make you happy, but it certainly does remove a lot of the stuff that makes people miserable, being broke, bad healthcare, constant insecurity, living with that low level panic all the time.
Money buys breathing room. It buys options. It buys time, peace of mind, and the ability to say no. That matters a lot for day to day well being.
But it’s not the same thing as fulfillment. Real happiness still comes from purpose, strong relationships, and growth. Money can take you out of suffering, it can solve a ton of problems that not having money creates, but it doesn’t magically create deep joy on its own. It’s a tool, not the finish line.

i have no desire to be rich so i can buy a rolex or a lamborghini. i want to be rich so i can control my time and go to the gym at 3pm on a monday. sit at a cafe and relax for an hour on a rainy afternoon. so i can cook meals at home with fresh ingredients. spend on my family and friends without worrying about a budget. that's my idea of a rich life, not the fake consumerist idea shoved down my throat.
