I remember reading a story that 9/11 caused a divorce. A woman’s husband worked in the twin towers, and he was having an affair. He took that day off and spent it with his affair partner in a hotel. He didn’t know what happened yet, so when his wife called him freaking out asking if he’s okay and asking where he is, he casually just told her “yeah, I’m just heading into a meeting right now.” 💀

@RoyalFamily But that giant royal prick still hasn’t met his latest American born great-granddaughter.
What shitty grandparent does that? Chuck, that’s who.

@HistorylandHQ This feels like something my mother-in-law would’ve done

Guilt Tipping in Deutschland:

@DasSchwalbi Aber tolle Leistung.

@BlanchardPhD I remember my third grade teacher was murdered by her own husband. It came out their apartment was basically a junkie haven and they were both hopped up on massive amount of drugs. We never knew. She was a bitch though. Used to hit the students. I was not sad when she died.

When I was in grammar school and high school, it was extremely rare for any teacher to make any reference to their personal lives. The only clue to teachers’ lives outside the classroom were the honorifics “Miss” and “Mrs,” which told you whether the teacher was married, and of course there were no such clues for male teachers.
With one possible exception, I don’t recall any professor or lecturer ever talking about their personal lives, their political beliefs, their sexual orientation, or anything other than the course topic during the four years that I was in college (University of Pennsylvania, 1963-1967). (The one exception was a sociology course taught by a lecturer, who made repeated references to being from Walnut Creek, CA – references that meant nothing to me since I had never heard of Walnut Creek.)
When I read online about the things that teachers at all levels now “share” with their students, I am reminded of the truth of the line, “The past is a foreign country; they do things differently there.”

@KensingtonRoyal Stop using your own children as a promotion it's odd.
English

that's only possible if you have a good man who will work and provide. It used to be that women ran the home and men worked. Mom didn't crab to dad the second he got home that her day was hard and can HE take the kids now. After he's worked all day. Women need to quit complaining if they do have a good man.

@PansenPeggy Mit dem Kinderwagen nicht. Sonst schon.
