@xThyQueen @Uplowwd Solo q doesn’t not need to be easier. Easier is not the word you wanna use. It needs to be a fair competitive experience not easier. In a perfect world. No three stacks play against solo q, and no one below Diamond 2 gets into a pred lobby. Along with no cheaters

Way to fix solo queue in Apex Legends 🩷 I was saying a while ago that it should be +5RP, adding +5RP at each rank starting at bronze. So when you get to diamond it'll be +20RP cause you'll only be spending -25RP, so if your randoms and you die fast it's not so much of a loss.

@ApexLiveComms Was really looking forward to Solo q only, specially on console. Guess i gotta endure the triple stack Titan users shoving the 4x Devo/havoc up my ass from across the map for the next few weeks. Looking forward to solo queue ranked being a 3 day test before split ends.

We just pushed an update for the following: ✅FIXED: - "Blind Box" round modifier has been reactivated in the Power Trip event - Weapons granted during "Red Handed" rounds will no longer remain in death boxes after the round ends - Solo-queue test disabled and postponed to later in the split, as initially intended

@gdolphn Yeah it’s insane to see about 20+ pro players twitch streaming rank before they play scrims and they’re not even in the same lobbies. Just each in their own lobbies dicking down golds and plats with Meta legends and guns. Boring as hell to watch.

I would separate the current state of Apex Legends Ranked into three main issues: 1. Matchmaking I think Apex Legends Ranked matchmaking has been in a poor state for quite some time. I honestly can't remember the last time I was genuinely interested in someone grinding for #1 Predator, or even Predator in general. This also seems to be the general sentiment I observe on Twitch. People simply aren't excited about the ranked grind anymore—neither to play it nor to watch it. Regardless of which server you choose, you can queue as a three-stack and get instant lobbies filled with teams that are significantly weaker than you. It doesn't take much lobby imbalance to ruin the experience for everyone else. Years ago, several top teams would often end up in the same lobby, which made ranked more exciting. Those teams would constantly clash, creating storylines and rivalries, while also having to keep an eye on each other to avoid losing points consistently. Three-stacking has been part of Apex Legends for a long time, but the consequences have become much more noticeable in recent years due to the game's evolving mechanics and features. Generally speaking, balancing a 60-player Battle Royale lobby is far more difficult than balancing a 5v5 tactical shooter or a MOBA. Even at the highest levels of professional scrims and competitive play, it only takes one or two teams that are slightly better at fighting and playing aggressively to dictate the pace and overall quality of the lobby. Ranked is no different in this regard. There's also the never-ending MnK versus controller debate, but I'm not going to open that can of worms here. I don't believe the current matchmaking system has much competitive integrity. At the same time, I don't think simply reverting to the Season 13 Split 1 ranked format would solve anything. The game has evolved mechanically too much since then. 2. Power Scaling, Game Mechanics, and Map Design From a gameplay perspective, Apex has evolved from having a few legends with relatively limited vertical and horizontal mobility to having legends that can bypass many of the movement and positioning challenges that once defined the game. We also have utility items that can be combined with legend abilities to make rotations even faster and safer. I believe the slower version of Apex we had years ago was more enjoyable from a strategic standpoint. It was easier to explain why a team or player needed to rotate from point A to point B and to discuss the best course of action based on available abilities and the risks along the way. Nowadays, I find those conversations much less interesting because many situations can be solved with a single ability that enables a nearly risk-free rotation. One button press often accomplishes the rotation, while the other legends on the team help facilitate or stabilize it afterward. The addition of free information through health bars and armor indicators has made these decisions even less thoughtful. Of course, many players seem to enjoy this version of Apex Legends. However, I personally believe that teams that play intelligently and position themselves well should be rewarded with meaningful advantages in a Battle Royale. Many of the newer abilities—and some of the reworked ones—seem to negate positional advantages entirely. As a result, aggressive plays require significantly less thought than they used to, which is one of my biggest frustrations. Strategic decision-making was one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game. Because of the way power scaling has progressed, the maps themselves have also lost some of their identity. I think Apex has several excellent maps with thoughtful level design that encourage unique approaches to fights and rotations. Unfortunately, much of that design has been overshadowed by increasingly powerful legend abilities. 3. Ranked Format I've already touched on the ranked format somewhat, but while I think the new solo queue ranked mode Respawn is teasing for July 9 is a step in the right direction, I can't help but feel that it won't have a major impact on its own. For the sake of this discussion, I'm assuming that RP values remain relatively unchanged compared to previous seasons. Right now, it's extremely easy to gain points, even while solo queueing. That said, a substantial increase in overall lobby quality could potentially change this. I'm also assuming there won't be a ranked ladder reset for this temporary solo queue split. If that's the case, the same players who have exclusively three-stacked throughout the current split will already occupy the top positions when solo queue begins. In my opinion, this is a missed opportunity. Respawn could create a much more exciting experience by resetting the leaderboard specifically for the queue test. I don't expect that to happen, especially since Respawn no longer properly resets the ranked leaderboard between splits. Instead, progression appears to be influenced heavily by account statistics and hidden MMR. To be honest, that's also disappointing. It has significantly reduced the excitement of racing to Predator at the start of a split. I also believe this solo queue mode shouldn't begin at Diamond IV. Diamond I or even Masters would make more sense. Conclusion We'll probably never have truly great matchmaking due to the sheer size and complexity of Apex Legends' ranked ecosystem. On top of that, the game's power scaling has widened the skill gap between players and amplified the advantages of three-stacking. I do think solo queue above Masters could be a positive change, especially if it has its own separate leaderboard to create a stronger sense of competition and excitement. Beyond that, there are many aspects of the game that are outside of my control, and while I don't agree with all of them, I've largely accepted that reality. I can still enjoy Apex on my day to day, but I wish we had a version of ranked that would act as an entry to competitive Apex Legends and not just a run it down on repeat simulator. I mainly just wanted to rant a little and share my thoughts.

dev team didn’t ban nobody on console because im still running into titan players every single game and it’s the same people that have been doing it since season 25. Just straight up lying about this info 😭😭😭
