Life is strange. You arrive with nothing, struggle for everything and leave with nothing again. So don’t wait for more to be happy. Be content with what you have today.

Today is the darkest day of my life. My beloved son, Agnivesh, left us far too soon. He was just 49 years old, healthy, full of life, and dreams. Following a skiing accident in the US, he was recovering well in Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. We believed the worst was behind us. But fate had other plans, and a sudden cardiac arrest snatched our son away from us. No words can describe the pain of a parent who must bid goodbye to his child. A son is not meant to leave before his father. This loss has shattered us in ways we are still trying to comprehend. I still remember the day Agni was born in Patna on 3 June, 1976. From a middle-class Bihari family, he grew into a man of strength, compassion, and purpose. The light of his mother’s life, a protective brother, a loyal friend, and a gentle soul who touched everyone he met. Agnivesh was many things - a sportsman, a musician, a leader. He studied at Mayo College, Ajmer, went on to set up one of the finest companies Fujeirah Gold, became Chairman of Hindustan Zinc, and earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Yet, beyond all titles and achievements, he remained simple, warm, and deeply human. To me, he was not just my son. He was my friend. My pride. My world. Kiran and I are broken. And yet, in our grief, we remind ourselves that the thousands of young people who work across Vedanta are also our children. Agnivesh believed deeply in building a self-reliant India. He would often say, “Papa, we lack nothing as a nation. Why should we ever be behind?” We shared a dream to ensure that no child sleeps hungry, no child is denied education, every woman stands on her own feet, and every young Indian has meaningful work. I had promised Agni that more than 75% of what we earn would be given back to society. Today, I renew that promise and resolve to live an even simpler life. There was so much life ahead of him. So many dreams yet to be lived. His absence leaves a void for his family and friends. We thank all his friends, colleagues and well-wishers for always being there for him. Beta, you will live on in our hearts, in our work, and in every life you touched. I do not know how to walk this path without you, but I will try carrying your light forward.

Officer Miller responded to a call at a local grocery store. The manager had caught a shoplifter. When Officer Miller arrived, he expected to see a teenager stealing candy or a professional thief. Instead, he saw an elderly man, about 80 years old, sitting on a bench in the security office, looking at the floor. "He tried to walk out with a loaf of bread, a carton of eggs, and a small bag of dog food," the manager said. "We have a zero-tolerance policy. I want to press charges." Officer Miller looked at the items. The total value was maybe $12. He sat down next to the old man. "Sir, why did you do this?" The old man’s hands were shaking. "My social security check was late," he whispered. "I haven't eaten in two days. And my dog... my dog is hungry. I can handle the hunger, but I couldn't watch him look at me like that anymore." Officer Miller looked at the old man’s worn-out shoes and his thin jacket. He thought about his own grandfather. Officer Miller stood up and turned to the manager. "I'll take it from here." He walked the old man to the checkout counter. The manager thought he was escorting him out. But Officer Miller stopped. He took the bread, the eggs, and the dog food. Then he added a rotisserie chicken, milk, vegetables, and a large bag of high-quality dog food. He pulled out his own credit card and paid for everything. "Sir, you are not going to jail today," Officer Miller told the old man. "You are going home to feed your dog." The old man started to weep right in the middle of the store. "Why?" he sobbed. "I broke the law." "Sometimes the law is black and white," Officer Miller said. "But humanity is grey. We take care of our elders in this town." Officer Miller drove the man home and helped him put the groceries away. He gave the man his personal cell number. "Next time you’re hungry, don't steal," Miller said. "Call me." The police department posted the photo of the receipt. It went viral, reminding everyone that policing isn't just about making arrests; it's about making a difference. Let’s spread kindness like Officer Miller. Share this story and inspire others to make a difference today!

On the night of May 20, 2025, a little girl in a faded pink frock fell asleep on her mother’s lap at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. Her parents, simple people from Solapur, had come to Mumbai for her father’s treatment. They were exhausted. Just for a moment, the mother closed her eyes. When she opened them, her daughter was gone. Six months. Six months of walking from police station to police station. Six months of showing the same crumpled photograph to strangers on trains, in slums, in orphanages. Six months of the father not sleeping, the mother not eating, both of them growing hollow-eyed, whispering the same name into the dark: “Aarohi… Aarohi…” In Varanasi, a thousand kilometres away, a tiny girl with no memory of her real name was learning to call herself “Kashi.” She had been found crying near the railway tracks in June, barefoot and terrified. The orphanage gave her food, a bed, and a new name. She smiled easily, because children always do, but sometimes at night she clutched the edge of her blanket and asked for “Aai” — Marathi for mother — and no one understood. Back in Mumbai, the police refused to close the file. They printed posters with Aarohi’s face, stuck them on every platform from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Bhusawal to Varanasi Cantt. They ran newspaper ads, knocked on doors, begged journalists for help. Six months is a long time for hope to stay alive, but some officers carried her photograph in their shirt pockets like it was their own child. Then, on November 13, a local reporter in Varanasi saw the poster. Something clicked. He had seen a girl who spoke Marathi words in her sleep. He made a phone call. The next morning, a Mumbai Police inspector sat in front of a laptop in Varanasi and opened a video call. On the screen appeared a little girl in a pink frock — the same colour she was wearing the day she vanished. The mother, standing behind the officer in Mumbai, saw her daughter and collapsed without a sound. The father just kept repeating, “That’s my Aarohi… that’s my baby…” They flew her back on Children’s Day — November 14. When the plane landed, the entire Mumbai Crime Branch was waiting. They had bought her balloons and a new frock, sky blue this time. But the moment the little girl stepped out and saw the sea of khaki uniforms, she did something no one expected. She ran. Not away — toward them. Tiny legs pumping, arms outstretched, she threw herself at the nearest officer and laughed — the purest, clearest laugh that had been missing from the world for half a year. The officer, a tough man who had seen everything, felt his eyes burn. He lifted her high, and she wrapped her arms around his neck like he was family. Her parents were crying too hard to walk. So the policemen carried their daughter to them. The mother touched her face again and again, as if checking she was real. The father fell to his knees and pressed his forehead to his child’s tiny feet, sobbing words no one could understand except God. And the little girl? She just kept smiling, looking from her parents to the officers and back again, completely unaware that she had turned an entire police station into a sobbing, laughing, praying family. Six months of darkness ended in one hug. Aarohi is home now. The kidnapper is still out there, but that is tomorrow’s fight. Today, a mother is singing lullabies again. Today, a father is smiling in his sleep. And somewhere in Mumbai, there are policemen who will never forget the weight of a four-year-old girl in their arms — the weight of an entire life returned. Sometimes the uniform doesn’t just catch thieves. Sometimes it carries lost children all the way back to their mothers’ hearts.

#SaiyaaraReview ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #Saiyaara is a BLOCKBUSTER OF EPIC PROPORTIONS. After ages, I’ve seen a romantic film that truly shakes you to the core. The phenomenal writing by Sankalp Sadanah and Rohit Shankar has been beautifully brought to life by director Mohit Suri in his signature style. The film’s writing is powerful, deeply emotional, and musical- it will leave you in tears. The interval block is so heart-wrenching that if you’re an emotional person, you’ll find yourself crying uncontrollably. There are several twists and turns that set it apart from the usual romantic dramas. With this film, two stars are born - #AhaanPandey and #AneetPadda. Both have delivered stunning performances in their debut outing. Ahaan doesn’t just look handsome on screen, but his acting is surprisingly impactful. To portray emotional and intense scenes so convincingly in a debut film, to deliver dialogues with such depth - these are things even experienced actors struggle with. Ahaan has captured every emotion on the big screen so effortlessly that you’ll forget this is his first film. If he continues choosing the right scripts, he has the potential to become a huge star. His distinct husky, rough voice is his biggest asset. #AneetPadda absolutely surprised me with her performance-she is the soul of Saiyaara. There’s a particular scene where she explains to Ahaan the meaning of music and lyrics, and that one scene is enough to tell you this girl is destined for stardom. Bollywood has long been searching for a female star to carry the legacy post-Alia Bhatt, and with Aneet Padda, that wait is over. Mark my words. The film’s music is good. The Saiyaara Title Track and Barbaad stand out. The rest of the songs are decent. However, the music slightly falls short compared to Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain or Aashiqui 2. Had it matched that level, it would’ve elevated Saiyaara to another league. Cinematography and other technical aspects are TOP NOTCH . That said, there’s no doubt that Saiyaara ranks among the best directorial works of Mohit Suri’s career. The emotions, drama, and dialogues are the soul of this film. It won’t just appeal to the youth-it’s bound to strike a chord with family audiences as well. It’s set to create history at the box office. ₹200 Cr will be a cakewalk. ₹300 Cr is also well within reach. BLOCKBUSTER IS GUARANTEED. Don’t forget to carry tissues and handkerchiefs with you - because Saiyaara will make you cry. A lot. Its a sensitive film. @mohit11481

Inspiring!♥️ He delivered more than just my lunch. He delivered a lesson for life. Yesterday, I ordered a simple lunch from Subway - a paneer tikka sandwich, Bingo chips, and oat raisin cookies. When the order arrived, I could tell just by looking at the packet - only the sandwich had made it. I told the delivery rider, “The chips and cookies are missing.” He stuttered and struggled to respond but humbly said, “Sir, please call the restaurant or Zomato.” I called Subway. They apologized and confirmed the miss. They asked, “Can you send the rider back? We’ll pay him ₹20 for the trouble.” But here’s the twist, technically, the rider isn’t supposed to go back unless Zomato tells him to. Because Zomato pays him, not the restaurant. But this man, this absolute gem, said: “Sir, it’s my responsibility. I want the customer to be happy.” He didn’t see me as his customer. But he saw the value in doing what was right. He went back, picked up the missing items, came back smiling and refused the ₹20 from Subway. He said, “God has given me so much. Why should I take this money for a mistake someone else made?” Then, he shared his story and it gave me goosebumps. He was once a construction supervisor, growing into a managerial role at Shapoorji Pallonji, earning ₹1.25 lakhs/month. But a car accident changed everything. His left side is paralyzed, hand and leg. He lost his job, his mobility, and for a while, his hope. But Zomato changed that. They gave him a job. A chance. A purpose. He said: “Sir, Zomato kept my family alive. I may be handicapped, but I’ve been given an opportunity. I will never let Zomato’s name be affected.” His daughter is now studying dentistry. He rides not just for income, but to keep her dream alive. He didn’t blame life. He didn’t complain. He didn’t give excuses. Instead, he smiled, believed in Swami Samarth (his faith), and said: “God is with me. Why should I worry?” To Deepinder Goyal and the Zomato team - thank you! You might not realize it, but your decision to hire persons with disabilities is changing lives in the most profound way. Today I received a sandwich. But what stayed with me… was gratitude, resilience, and hope. Stories like his deserve to be seen and celebrated. Posted by shripal gandhi. #business #zomato #subway #gratitudepost #DeepinderGoyal
