The @parentsforpeace team is truly honored to have been among many powerful speakers at the @TxDPS. Congratulations to Major Jones and Kimberly Jones, for organizing such an exceptionally high-quality event!
Bringing together law enforcement, survivors of mass violence, and expert insights on targeted violence prevention at the same conference embodies the very essence of how @parentsforpeace Peace operates: a whole-of-society approach!
It has been an honor to join hundreds of partners across #Texas and the nation, united in the mission to build safer #Schools and #Communities. A shout out and THANK YOU to the incredible team at #CP3#DHS (Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3)) for making our interventions to prevent violence and extremism possible.
In this personal reflection, @parentsforpeace's Arno Michaelis identifies the similarities between the ideologies behind the hatred that fueled him a young neo-Nazi three decades ago and the post-October 7th global surge of antisemitism.

Arno Michaelis, a former neo-Nazi, now uses his lived experience to guide others away from violent extremist ideologies. As an interventionist with Parents for Peace, Arno works tirelessly to support individuals and families impacted by hate, helping them find pathways to peace and understanding.
His journey is a testament to the power of compassion, accountability, and the belief that change is possible for anyone. 🌟

This past weekend, we remembered Kristallnacht, the night of broken glass in 1938, when antisemitic violence shattered Jewish communities across Germany and Vienna. This history reminds us of the real and devastating impact of antisemitism when it goes unchecked.
Honoring this memory can mean recognizing the signs of antisemitism and prejudice in our own time, speaking up against hate, and fostering understanding within our communities. Even small actions help make “never again” a commitment.
What does standing up to antisemitism look like for you?

Over the past few days, Parents for Peace’s Myrieme Nadri-Churchill and Miri Bar-Halpern, PsyD connected with educators at the Massachusetts School Nurse Organization conference and led workshops for the North Middlesex and Lunenburg School District.
With our youth at risk, schools are crucial in providing safe environments and a sense of belonging. Together, we’re raising awareness of the tactics used to exploit vulnerable minds and building resilience to protect our students.

We Hope You Had a Bright and Joyous Diwali! 🪔✨
Reflecting on yesterday’s celebration, have you thought about how the themes of Diwali—light over darkness, hope, and renewal—might inspire everyday moments in your life? Maybe it’s as simple as having one more open conversation or finding small ways to spread light in your community.
What are some ways you bring light into your world? Let’s share and learn from each other. 🧡

This year’s Eradicate Hate Global Summit was powerful! Meeting Chin Roger and hearing her inspiring story reminded us why we do this work.
Thank you to all the presenters and organizers of the event! Special thanks to our friends at DHS for the CP3 program! 🧡 #EradicateHate#ParentsForPeace#EndExtremism
During the Eradicate Hate Global Summit, we had the honor of meeting Chin Roger, a mother who turned her personal tragedy into a powerful mission. Chin has bravely channeled her pain into action, raising awareness for families affected by extremism and violence.
At Parents for Peace, we are deeply moved by her strength and advocacy. Together with Chin and the incredible leaders at the summit, we are building a future free from hate—where awareness, compassion, and unity can prevent tragedies and create real change.

Our ED Myrieme Nadri-Churchill was featured in @FTMag discussing how extremists target vulnerable autistic children, preying on feelings of powerlessness. We must raise awareness and act to protect those at risk. #Deradicalization#ExtremismPrevention#Parents4Peace"
@FT I went behind the scenes of a new unit of mental health clinicians who work with counterterror police across the country to help manage the caseload of people - especially minors - who have neurodiversity and mental health conditions

For this @FT investigation I obtained unpublished Home Office data on Prevent & autism and statistics from psychiatrists working with counterror police. I also spoke to parents of autistic children like Josh who have been referred erroneously to Prevent

I strongly commend this stellar reporting by Helen Warrell of the Financial Times ("Weaponised autism and the extremist threat facing children") on a major aspect of counter-terrorism today. Key quote:.../1
High numbers of autistic children are being referred to the UK's Prevent deradicalisation programme and drawing the attention of counterterrorism police. This @FTMag story is about the changing nature of terrorism & how vulnerable minors may be at risk
