How do you have TWO well received products and then STILL only get success when its a live service title? @KostaofBlue Titanfall released around the same as another CoD and Battlefield 4 and was an Xbox exclusive. Didn't really have a chance.

I cannot stress enough how Titanfall was, quite literally, the game people ACTUALLY wanted instead of Hero Slop Shooter Concord. The exact opposite of this scenario happened. Highguard was sold as "from the makers of Titanfall" when what people wanted was... well, Titanfall.

This is so legitimately disrespectful to Tolkien and his legacy. I’m irate. Firstly Colbert is a poser, he may know the names and the years but he fundamentally misunderstands the message and the core of the story as it doesn’t align with his worldview, thus the very soul of this project will be tainted with themes antithetical to Tolkien’s work. Secondly, these are ideas Tolkien never would have even wanted. You can argue with The Hunt for Gollum that it’s at least just telling stuff already in the novel. But a whole new secondary adventure, when his appendices and his manuscripts in HoME already explain the lives these characters lived, and peaceful ones at that? Absolutely not This is a blatant disregard for lore, sure, but more importantly this is a disregard of Tolkien entirely. Disgusting.

hater -- the MAGNUM MC feels like Master Chiefs og MAGNUM. They look VERY similar as well... There is a BR-lite (equipped with a digital screen with the bullet count at the end of the scope...) The lore in marathon basically supports the idea that MARATHON's rouge AI travelled different galaxies, which explains the similarity between all of the different franchises Bungie has fostered. Honestly... check it out. I came for the aesthetic/lore and stayed for the gameplay.

This type of communication has literally never happened from Bungie and it makes you wonder why they never bothered trying half as hard when it came to communication with D2. It's a little frustrating seeing all the effort going into Marathon while D2 was a sinking ship

I do not "get" the new Marathon game. At all. I watched some streams and was totally baffled. BUT... it did make me nostalgic so I downloaded the FIRST Marathon game and was not prepared for the total muscle memory overload. It was like the last 30 years compressed into a single frame and I was back in the college computer lab again. I played that game so much, you guys. Anyway, Marathon 1 has the WORST intro level of any game I have ever played. It is purposely designed to make you quit in angry confusion. Maybe that is why the new one is a spiritual successor?
