Found out about Bird Buddy last week and immediately got my mom one - what an A+ consumer product. - video + bluetooth-enabled bird feeder that catalogs the different birds that come feed and auto labels their species, almost like a Ring camera app for birds - you can even name birds that come frequently and it will recognize it each time it comes🥲 - alerts you when there are sick or injured birds at your feeder and teaches how to potentially help them, also alerts when cats are stalking the feeder 😂 - even has "BB TV" which is a highlight reel of recent user-generated videos of birds across the user base Genius - my mom is in love

One interesting trend: Gen Z's migration to skilled trades (plumber, electrician, etc). A survey found that 47% of Gen Zs were interested in pursuing a career in a trade. One potential reason: 74% say they believe skilled trade jobs won’t be replaced by AI.
