Where have the years gone? On May 1st I transitioned out of my role as SVP – Retail Lending with Farm Credit Services of America and Frontier Farm Credit and am looking forward to retiring at the end of the year. Please join me in congratulating @ParryBriggs ! As of Friday, Parry stepped into my role. He’s a phenomenal leader who will do a great job for the company. I’m grateful for the people I’ve worked with over the past 40 plus years. You’ve made the work meaningful, challenging, and a lot of fun. What more could I have asked for? As I finish out these last few months, I look forward to focusing on my company, @GrowLeadAchieve LLC and to spending more time with Holly. Time is precious and we’re going to make the most of it.

K-State is 5-10 in one-score games going back to 2023, as a reference point, Iowa State is 10-4.

@DerekYoungKSO We had 3 opportunities to put the game away and our play calls put us in horrible position every time. The players deserve better than that.

First and goal at the 4 and have to settle for field goal. Ouch. Baylor will have a game-winning kick opportunity almost assuredly. I would have gone for it I think. Getting in position for 3 is easy for the Bears.

@kstateman14 The defense was hard to watch, but that is what Army does. You beat them by scoring touchdowns when they give you the ball. We had one touchdown on 6 possessions. We couldn’t get a first down with 3rd & 1 on our first possession. That was the story of the game.

Have fun with this fact! After doing research, I found that K-State held Army to their 4TH LOWEST yards per rush attempt average against a P4 opponent in the Jeff Monken era (2014–) spanning 24 games. Only three other P4 teams have held them below 3.4 yds/rush. And we lost! 😀

@Cole_Manbeck Now do the opposite and show situations where we didn’t get first downs. That has been the story of the season so far. Can’t get off the field in key situations and can’t stay on it when we should be able to either.

K-State gave up first downs on the following situations: -3rd and 22 -2nd and 21 -3rd and 10 -4th and 6 -3rd and 8, -4th and 3 (running into punter) Cannot happen against an FCS team that went 5-7 last year with a first-year head coach and QB starting his 1st game.
