So if you are a member of a local assembly, you are a member of the body of Christ: which is the church you are a member of.

@Rich04891613 @01jblawson @TheBabylonBee False. The word ekklesia cannot & does not mean “all unassembled saved people everywhere.” Call it “the family of God” or the Kingdom of God. But don’t call it church. Unassembled people is literally an oxymoron to the meaning of ekklesia. The church is a local visible assembly.

Yes, but the word can be used in different nuances. The “Church” is the Body of Christ. All people who are in it whether they are assembled together with other people or not. When I’m standing alone in my house I’m still part of the assembly/church/body of Christ. Now it can also used to describe a local collection of things. People gathered together become as assembly, but that doesn’t create the body of Christ, The ekkesia. It just creates an assembly. The “Church” is the Body of Christ. The people gathered together to alone.

I am convinced that nothing has damaged fastfood restaurant customer service more than DoorDash and its types. It leaves in-person customers standing in store, not being served while employees make food for someone not present, who may not arrive for several more minutes.
