People who live with chronic pain are denied the medication that works for them and remain in their constant pain. Sick as hell, must BEG their docs for new scripts and renewals. What is the point? The bureaucracy keeps them in pain for weeks waiting for relief that may or may not ever come. While in nursing home or rehab care their meds either "never arrive" or mysteriously disappear if they do arrive. Government regulations are protecting the seriously ill INTO misery. Like the great #righttotry concept, a person should be able to sign an informed consent in order to maintain a dependable but regulated 90 day script that can be filled upon request every 30 days. The left is good with deliberate euthanasia, but not with good solid pain relief that may have a chance of addiction. Brian, this is exactly why your insistence on scanning material into AI is correct. Context matters. I grew up on oral history from people born in the 1800s, where meaning was passed down after dinner, by the fire, through stories, memory, and perspective. Some questions cannot be understood without that kind of layered human context.
