@FPayne100 @BLACKCAPS In 1924 as a 16 year old played for North Otago XIII v NSW at Waitaki Boys’ High Oamuru his school ground. Batted 11 and made 8 bowled by Stork Hendry. Took 0-81 opening the bowling but caught Tommy Andrews (105) in the drawn match.

Sir Denis Blundell (12th Governor-General of NZ) made his FC debut OTD 99 years ago. In 1935/36 played for @BLACKCAPS v MCC who were captained by Charles Lyttelton, later Lord Cobham and 9th Governor-General of NZ. Both were in office for 5 years, 8 days.
