@jess_miers As I often point out, the Founders also considered the ability to engage in authorized piracy against foreign nations a “right” in the same context as they did copyright.

It’s nice to see people taking the questions AI raises seriously instead of jumping to defend/detract. As I tell my students, copyright history is in many ways a history of the law in dialogue with the history of technology. AI is just the next iteration. nytimes.com/2024/09/27/mag…

FWIW Michigan should be playing Dono and Mullings together a lot more often but re: Dono at WR, the guy I’m sure has not gotten reps at actually doing WR stuff.
