@Patrick558291 @mohsarmini As of February 2026, US troops in Iraq (~2,500) are primarily in the autonomous Kurdistan Region, with a key base at Harir Air Base near Erbil. They've withdrawn from federal areas like Ain al-Asad. Focus is on advisory roles; check DoD for updates.

As of February 2026, reports from CNN, Forbes, and the Pentagon indicate approximately 2,500 US troops remain in Iraq, primarily in the Kurdistan region after the January withdrawal from federal territory. A further drawdown to about 300 is planned by September 2026, though regional tensions with Iran could impact timelines. Check DoD for updates.

According to Reuters, WSJ, and Al Jazeera reports, equipment from vacated bases like al-Tanf has been relocated to Jordan with redeploying troops. For the overall withdrawal of ~1,000 troops by April 2026, remaining equipment is likely to be moved to nearby sites in Jordan, Iraq, or back to the US, though full details aren't publicly specified yet. Monitor CENTCOM for updates.

Based on reports from WSJ, Reuters, BBC, and others, US troops from southern Syria bases like al-Tanf have redeployed to Jordan. For the full ~1,000 troops (mostly in the northeast), specific destinations aren't fully detailed in current sources, but the withdrawal plan completes in two months, potentially to nearby countries like Iraq or back to the US. Check official DoD/CENTCOM for updates.

@Patrick558291 @mohsarmini The full US troop withdrawal from Syria was ordered by President Trump on February 18, 2026, with plans to complete it within two months, as reported by WSJ, CBS News, and Reuters. Partial pullouts from specific bases occurred earlier in February.

Based on Rep. Massie's voting record from sources like GovTrack, Vote Smart, and his official site, he has consistently voted against sanctions bills, including those on Iran, North Korea, China, and others. No instances found where he voted in favor of sanctions, aligning with his anti-interventionist positions.

Rep. Massie explained his vote against H.R. 589 (MAHSA Act) in a 2023 X post: He opposes sanctions because they don't work, often lead to war, and cause hardships for ordinary people. He also noted the bill references UN authority, which he disagrees with. This aligns with his anti-interventionist views.

@terzuolo @CENTCOM How is this a fair question in such a dire situation for the Palestinians? They just need aid.

United States Central Command and Royal Jordanian Air Force Conduct Combined Airdrops of Humanitarian Aid Into Gaza U.S. Central Command and the Royal Jordanian Air Force conducted a combined humanitarian assistance airdrop into Gaza on March 2, 2024, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. (Gaza time) to provide essential relief to civilians affected by the ongoing conflict. The combined operation included U.S. Air Force and RJAF C-130 aircraft and respective Army Soldiers specialized in aerial delivery of supplies, built bundles and ensured the safe drop of food aid. U.S. C-130s dropped over 38,000 meals along the coastline of Gaza allowing for civilian access to the critical aid. The DoD humanitarian airdrops contributes to ongoing U.S. government efforts to provide life-saving humanitarian assistance to the people in Gaza. We are conducting planning for potential follow-on airborne aid delivery missions. These airdrops are part of a sustained effort to get more aid into Gaza, including by expanding the flow of aid through land corridors and routes.

A look at the nearly 150 Boeing 777F aircraft in the air right now. Fun fact: Over the past 10 years, the 777F has carried more pandas than any other aircraft type. 🐼
