While Trump lectures the world on economic independence, the world just moved on without him. Today, the EU signed a free trade deal with Australia. Earlier this year, they closed one with India. In May, the Mercosur deal covering Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay kicks in. Brussels is signing with everyone. Washington is tariffing everyone.

The U.S. is much less dependent on Canada in macro terms. 70% to 75% of your exports go to the U.S. Those exports are less than 1.5% of our GDP. In other words, you need us for your survival but you are inconsequential to us.

What’s indisputable is during Trump’s first term, Covid money was being handed out like candy at a children’s birthday party. …and since interest on the debt accumulates at a rate of $35,000/second, we’ve already increased the debt close to $2 trillion in interest alone since the start of his 2nd term.

But, the debt did almost accumulate as fast under Trump just as fast in his one term ($8Trillion) as it did in Obama's two terms ($10 Trillion). That's undisputable. Also, in Trump's second term, the debt's now increased another $3 Trillion in just 3 months. So, I'd say it's on track to easily triple the national debt, especially with the ME war.
