Senegal 🇸🇳 has become the latest African nation to join the U.S.-backed global health initiative under the America First Global Health Strategy. The two parties signed a five-year agreement valued at $90.4 million, with the United States providing $63.1 million to combat diseases such as HIV and malaria, while also strengthening health systems, laboratories, digital tools, and outbreak response. Senegal will contribute $27.3 million, with additional funds allocated for health security. Senegal is now the 21st African country and the 26th globally to participate in the program.
